You Are God: The True Teachings of Jesus

ChristusBuddhaBrandon West, Contributor
Waking Times

In this article we will explore how the true teachings of Jesus can be summed up by three little words: you are God. Some missionaries came to my house the other day and I was given the opportunity to come face to face with the religious mind, to discover their relationship to God, and to remember my own (non-voluntary) experience with religion.

In such a short time though it was, it was absolutely clear that the foundational flaw of religion based off of the bible as it is primarily taught today (and in general, for the past 2000 years), is that it teaches first and foremost that we are separate from this force called God. But that is a contradiction because the bible, specifically the teachings of Jesus as I will clearly illustrate, teach that you are god, and that we are all God.

So, I have taken it upon myself to convince those missionaries, and you, that you are not only equal to God, but that you are God.

Now if you think it is blasphemy to believe that you are God, not only does that contradict what the bible says, but that is a major preconception you have been imbued with that will restrict you from ever experiencing directly that you are god, which in essence is what a spiritual awakening really is: an experience that you are intimately connected with God, that you are love, that you are loved, that you are unlimited, and that you are God, because that creative consciousness is within you.

According to a recent study done by Cambridge, around 88% of the worlds population believe in God. 88%! That is 6.16 billion people around the world, according to this study, who believe in God. That is not a trivial number.

Yet out of these 6.16 billion people, for how many of them is God more than just a belief? For what percentage of that 88% is God a tangible force that they connect to on a daily basis by allowing the bonds of their ego to dissolve, and then channeling that force into all that they do, and all that they are?

If those people could center themselves in the awareness that they are God-consciousness instead of just believing in the existence of such a magnificent force, then we could change the world in a matter of months. It is only when we continue to live separate from this infinite consciousness which is our original nature, that we are powerless and that we perpetuate all suffering and negativity on this planet.

None of the major spiritual teachers throughout history were religious. Jesus wasn’t a Christian, Buddha was not Buddhist, and Lao Tzu was not a Taoist (and I am not even sure I would call Taoism a religion, simply because there is no dogma taught at all, just observation, alignment, and harmony with nature and the cosmos).

All of these spiritual masters did not practice religion, they mastered themselves in solitude by looking within and meditating, and as a result they discovered that they were infinite and connected with the universal consciousness. Only later did we call this consciousness God.

That is what the core of all their teachings are about: that we are all spiritual beings, and that we are equal to god, and by practicing such things as forgiveness, kindness, honesty, and introspection we can become the Gods that we already are and create a peaceful heaven here on Earth.

Because Christianity is the worlds largest religion (practiced by an estimated 2.2 billion people), as a case study let us look at Jesus. He said three things which I want to draw your attention to specifically, and I will discuss each quote in an effort to show you that you are God, and that if you practice a bible/Jesus orientated religion, then it is actually in alignment with the truth of the teaching to believe that you are God.

God Is Love

“He who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16)

Jesus says quite clearly here that God is love. He is not loving, he is not like love, he literally is love.

But really, what is love? Moreover, what is human emotion?

All human emotion is energy. What we have labeled as various emotions is merely our endeavor to classify and label different vibrations of energy that we feel so that we can talk about it with others. When you are feeling really low energy, you say you are depressed. When you are feeling very malevolent energy, you say you are angry, hateful, or maybe evil. But according to Jesus, what would you say when you are feeling the highest energy possible?

You would say you are love, or, that you are God.

Interestingly enough I came to an understanding of my spiritual nature through a study of physics, specifically Nassim Haramein’s unified field theory. Physicists have discovered that the entire universe is pure energy, and that nothing is solid. In the words of Einstein,

“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”

All that we are is energy, and that energy has no boundaries. It is infinite, it is the invisible force that permeates all space, and it is the force that connects all things because it is all things. Sound familiar? Everything in the universe is connected by energy, and that energy is consciousness, and that infinite consciousness is the source of creation which we have labelled as God.

When you oscillate with the vibration of love, you are resonating with the highest energy of creation which by necessity must be that universal and infinite consciousness, and thus you don’t just align with that energy, or channel it through you, you expand and become that energy.

This is a fact of physics.

This is what Jesus meant when he said that God is love. He didn’t mean that Gods love was something outside of you or separate from you, he said clearly that when you are in love, you abide God, and God in you, and thus, you are God when you are love. There is no separation. When you become love, you become God.

You Are God

“Is it not written in your Law, “I have said ‘you are gods’”?” (John 10:34)

This second quote of his couldn’t be any clearer. I am not sure how this is explained away in the major religions that use the bible, but Jesus is clearly telling each and every one of us, resounding to the world from two thousand years ago, that we are indeed God; that you are God.

He knew and he discovered within himself that he was not only connected to the creative force of the universe, the unified field, or the matrix of all matter as physicist Max Planck called it, but he realized that he was that creative force, and that all of creation was in a literal sense God.

Every person without exception is God. Every animal, every tree, and every star. It is only from the ego that we perceive separateness because we ourselves have become separated and disconnected from our internal connecting link with spirit that resides within each and every one of us.

We do not need to seek a priest to know God, we only have to seek our true nature and our inner truth and we will know that we are God. If everything in the universe is formless energy, and we are all connected by that energy, and if we are made up of that energy, and if that energy is the force we call God … how could we be anything but God?

Everything in that statement is absolutely true, provable by science, except for saying that energy is God. Most science (except for Nassim Haramein’s work) has not made that link between spirituality and science, but there are others such as Einstein and Max Planck who did. Einstein said himself, “I want to know God’s thoughts; the rest are details.” Calling that energy ‘God’ is provable, but the only way to really know it is by experiencing it directly through yourself.

God Is Within You

“The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)

So what Jesus is saying here is that the kingdom of God, heaven, the place where God allegedly resides, is actually within you. In other words, God is within you. I know, as well as anyone else who has ever seriously meditated knows, that when you go deep enough within yourself you will discover that you are infinite universal consciousness which some call God.

This is not egotistical. In fact, it is quite the opposite of ego, because when you go deep enough within yourself you also expand in consciousness and you become aware of yourself as an infinite and eternal spiritual entity, and your ego simply cannot exist in an environment like that.

Your ego is defined by your possessions, your body, your achievements, and your memories and so on, but when you meditate, you discover that you are something transcendent of all of that.

Truly great spiritual teachers never practiced religion, they practiced love, and sought universal truth. They practiced deep meditative introspection and discovered knowledge of the universe and the secrets of the soul within them. And as a result of this they discovered the path to enlightenment and god-realization. This is what Jesus was trying to teach us, when he said with exasperation, “Is it not written in your laws that I said “You are Gods”?”

Imagine what he must have felt like, being able to see clearly that God is within every single creature, and that every human is the embodiment of God and made in “his own image” in terms of pure consciousness, but then every time he tried to tell them and prove to them with acts that defied reason (miracles), all the people either bowed at his feet, or hung him on the cross …

There is no difference between those who bowed at the feet of Jesus and those who hung him from the cross, because in both cases they did not get his message. One chose to revere him, the other to eliminate him, but neither chose to listen to him.

They did not believe him when he said you are gods, and thus they chose to misinterpret what he was saying as some sort of metaphor, but it was not, and it is not today. We all have divinity within us, but it is not our personal identity, the ego, it is above the ego and it is called pure conscious awareness.

When are we going to understand this truth that he tried to teach us?

When are we going to understand that when Jesus said, ‘You are Gods’, he meant, that we are all Gods. Our true nature is not form, it is pure energy which is consciousness. We are God-consciousness who has incarnated into this level of reality, but we have become so identified with material form that we forgot our original nature.

All you have to do to experience this truth for yourself and discover that you are God, is follow the advice of Jesus from this article, and look within yourself.

Be still, and know that you are God.

References please? “According to a recent study done by Cambridge, around 88% of the worlds population believe in God. 88%! That is not a trivial number.” As a mathematician my non-sense radar is bleeping somewhat, with these “figures”!

Hey everyone, I’m a born again believer who has received the indwelling and daily teachings of the Holy Ghost, or as this author puts it, God-consciousness. What this author is saying is mostly correct. There are a few points that he’s slightly off though. But first, to answer the authors question about “I am not sure how this is explained away in the major religions that use the bible”… they explain it away by stating the word “gods” is meant to be “God’s”. They say it means you are the possession of God. And it’s accepted because there were no commas in the original Greek text so it can’t be disproved.

What I believe you are missing is one element that makes one conscience of the God-consciousness. There are many ways to achieve it, but since we are talking about Christ, only one way will prevail in the end. For example:

Matthew 22:9-14 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.

What this means is many will come to the knowledge that they are one with God, but they never were cleansed of the evil they did in the world. Christ died on the cross to cleans all mankind of the evil they committed. All who come to Him to receive the “God-consciousness”or “Holy Ghost” will be one with God and cleansed. Those who are not cleansed when that day comes will abide with the same judgement of the evil they committed. There will be a judgement day over this. That’s not hidden from the bible. Here is another passage of Jesus touching on the ones who are not cleansed. Keep in mind that the “Kingdom of Heaven” is not the :Kingdom of God” that’s within you.

Matthew 25:1-12 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil (not cleansed) with them: But the wise took oil (cleansed by the blood of Christ) in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

So even though this author is very accurate on how we all come from God, the part he’s missing is when judgement day comes, the ones who are not Christ’s, will abide with the evil they committed in outer darkness for eternity and shut out of the gates of heaven.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Only from the inner ‘knowing’, beyond the mind, nothing to do with one’s mind, that is only accessible in complete stillness and peaceful silence….can any ‘know’ this truth. Each of the comments below that question/dismiss/analyse what has been written are all from (unconscious) human thoughts and not from Source connected ;’knowing.’

It seems that due to the un-natural, human form and thought illusory created world and culture that most are now living in…..divine natural connection (to and with all) is being lost and no human mind will ever find it’s way back…only the ‘Feltness / Intuitive / God/Source connected true self’ deep within…which is the same for all – can ‘know’ what has been quoted here.

It is true. It is as simple as it is profound and the earliest documented record of same was from Lao Tzu in the TAO Te Ching 2500 years ago in China. It has been alluded to by Socrates, Plato, Confucius, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, through the works of Mozart, Michelangelo, Shakepeare, the many great poets Rumi, Hafiz, William Blake, scientists Albert Einstien, Max Plancke and Tom Campbell and the resonating truth that they have shared and that we are resonates somewhere very deep within all as it is the miraculous fundamental universal truth.

We are each God / Eternal Source / The One Consciousness simultaneously living and co-creating the Universe every second. The fact is we are each just like a finger or cell in the one life and the one consciousness sits behind and within all – that is why when what we call synchronistic or harmonious random events occur to any of us – they are not random – they are us, looking after / gifting us.

It has proven to be the mission impossible for all humanity to understand although Source has tried via many forms to communicate simply the divine truth to all.

It requires just being / accessing the ultimate sensitivity that we all naturally are but which is being lost to fit in with an un-natural technology engaged but nature disconnected way of living. We are becoming biological robots. It is human insanity at it’s zenith and Einstein predicted same when he said “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.’ – That was in 1952 and how profoundly correct the great spiritual and scientific man was. To my mind Einstein, Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Socrates to today’s Deepak Chopra and Eckhardt Tolle and the recently departed Wayne Dyer – the truly great humans in terms of guiding us all to the only truths that matter – the ones that if lived would recreate a new Earth that would be the Heaven always God/Source intended and naturally designed to be so – if humans would only get their humanness out of the way

“When are we going to understand this truth that he tried to teach us?”

In light of that question and within the context of what you encourage people to realize in this article might I point out the following. Treating Jesus as an separate individual, or an individual/person at all, was (in my opinion) one of the very important early accomplishments of those who corrupted the original religion because it laid the foundation for the root psychology of dismissing personal responsibility to an external entity. Fast forward and we see this core theme pervasive in our society now as we morally rot in a sea of “experts” we feel so comfortable deferring our destiny to…We turn to doctors for health, politicians for solutions, government agencies for help, religion to save us…etc.

  • Truth InLove316

    This is false teaching.

    • Teagan Kelk

That is the perspective you have chosen. Why is that?

The author also can add the fact that the Christianity belief in the Trinity. This means that Father, Son and Saint Spirit are the same think. From the fact that the Saint Spirit is within us, we can conclude that the dogma in the Christianity belief that we are god, as the author suggests.

    • Teagan Kelk

Very good point. The trinity is kinda nutty. I think what Christians refer to as the Holy Spirit might just be Mother Nature, the Goddess of Earth, the Virgin Mother, Gaia, Isis (the goddess not the terrorist group), Pistis-Sophia (gnosticism), etc

the one who can create any experience we ask. i don’t even know if she’s real. I just thought I met her after smoking Salvia Divinorum once.. or every time. lol

      • oneusername

Yes, in a similar way to explain this, the Holy Spirit refers to the belief that every person can become god; referring to Gaia: every human belongs to it and are part of it. Every person is god because there is no distinction between Gaia (the goodness) and the criatures that configures Gaia.

  • Susan Vincent

I do not believe in this writer’s logic and jump to confusions made as to what Jesus taught. The comments written by Zack 8 months ago below explain the erroneous conclusions that are not intellectually honest in making the “belief system” of what one should think of as one”self”

being God. I encourage all to be intellectually honest, read and ask for divine truth and question using logic so as not to be deceived. I would add the following questions to ponder in pursuit of truth relative to above claims….

Zac, thank you for your time and effort in answering the illogical interpretations of what this article above purports what Jesus taught. I agree with your sequential line of thinking and logic and you pointed out many fallacious assumptions.
Here’s another thought. just who was Jesus praying to when he constantly referred to his “Father in Heaven?” Also, I could use the analogy of being a drop in the ocean, but I am not the entire ocean…just a part of it when concluding I am a part of God, I have His spirit in me when I empty my “self” of ego and God is in me and I in him, but I am not Him. Just a part of him. Someone had to create the drops to begin with. A jump in the logic ti make a conclusion was made in the article above that since we have God in us, we are God is not correct…we are a PART of God, but I am not God. When creation was made, everything was perfect and good….then man was deceived and fell from its original state of being connected without separation from God. Something happened that needed mankind to empty himself of ego and walk in love – Jesus taught how to do that – and to repent of our “self”ish ways and a way was made for us to once again be united as one with God, but not to Be God!
I agree that if one uses logic to argue a point one way, then that person must use same logic to argue all points to be intellectually honest. Your arguments against above article’s logic to make conclusions is consistent and thank you for that.
In these last days (of this age – not end of world) we’ve been warned that it will be very hard not to be tricked or deceived into believing “another” gospel or good news and I do believe that Satan, the angel of light, is working over time to misdirect and con many into believing the very lie of Satan himself that “you are God!” and causing many to actually go to “inner SELF” to find God is illogical, thus causing people to deny the authenticity of the one true God, the creator, the source who wants relationship with his creation and made a way for it to happen. When I meditate and pray, I focus on The creator of all, “I” am totally emptied out and ego gone and the focus is not on what is inside “ME” but who the source of all is…..It is quite humbling to know that I am accepted in Him and He in me and that through Him, I can do many things and love perfectly….When I go into “self” the opposite occurs it is a lonely place – empty!!! I ask again,…who is Jesus speaking to constantly when he says His Father??? Yes, love is the answer, dieing to self, as Jesus exemplified, but no one can be perfect and therefore Jesus is the bridge to that oneness to God, the creator, the all…..The Truth will set you free, but one needs to be intellectually honest using logic all the way through!!

    • Matthew R. Kucera

logically, you have to be god.. if before there was anything there was only god, when he created everything, he created it from himself therefore everything is god and god is everything.. now when you understand that god is not really a he and that the universe was never really created and will never be destroyed but is eternal and that god is actually the essence of everything then it all makes sense… the eternal omnipresent omniscient consciousness connecting everything.. without it nothing could exist in the first place so denial of this is denial of existence.. even if you are a sceptic and yo say nothing can be proven but your thoughts hen you are still coming to the conclusion that you are god and everything else is your illusion… so you cant get away from it.. you are always god…

    • Teagan Kelk

The interesting thing is that you can be an atheist, and God allows that.

The interesting thing is that the Bible was written by humans, attempting to interpret events and happenings that were out of their control.

The idea of God is probably just what Love looks like to egoic consciousness. Egoic consciousness does not automatically understand love. Most children are born having to figure out what it is. That’s why parents teach them.

A parent would never kill their child or send them to eternal punishment for doing something wrong, or not believing that their parent is real, or not understanding their parent’s actions, thoughts, and feelings.

God is NOT an egoic consciousness. God is Consciousness ITSELF. God is the I AM within us all.

It’s hard to wrap the mind around this without thinking “this is just an excuse to be blasphemous and selfish”… but keep in mind your MIND is the only thing that makes you think you are separate from your true self. Satan is a very good metaphor for the mind. It thinks it is all-powerful but it missed the whole point of life: surrender, love, and unity. of oneself. God is not perfect. God is just all there is. 😉

Be still, and know that YOU ARE GOD. and so am I.

      • Zi Ang Wang

YOU WERE GOd, AND SO WAS I

    • Teagan Kelk

Be humble about the fact that compared to LOVE, your body and life are totally meaningless and pointless. you are here because you chose to be, you chose to endure sadness and pain in order to feel the love and fun too.

  • I think that I get your meaning, but in English this just doesn’t work: “we can become the Gods that we already are”.

  • we are a duality..in essence yes we are god..but the same way in that the dream is the dreamer..but its clear that my thoughts are not welcome so i will leave it with jesus words [that ye did do unto the least ye did do unto the greatest]..as previously written out ‘god’ is the sun..and we are all to become suns of the holy spirit..thus we are sons of god but true suns of the holy spirit..anyhow i have ‘subscribed’..to the feeds so i will in future be replying there…and as thats moderated..my commentary will [maybe] be found there..wether or not will depend on the ego of the writers of the words..

as to wether jesus existed or not..the things he revealed are timesless have been said before by many awakening to the reality we all have the spirit within every living thing..so yes thou art god..but theee ist not the wholy holy ‘good’ gracefull mercyfull holy spiritus..you are of de-light..yet are not de-light.

  • I find the whole idea of being my own god and master way more appealing than being ruled over by someone else. Thanks for the article.

  • Tom Schneider

I believe that few know much of anything really important. I chose long ago to believe the words of Christ as we have them in the New Testament. In making up their own stories or novel unusual interpretations, people can have many agendas. I believe in the agenda of Jesus and call him Lord and Messiah. He’s the one who helps me, and he to me is God from above, and the only one worthy to be worshipped.

Lucifer once said he was equal to God, that he was God. Look what happened to him. To say you are God is blasphemy and will be punished. You can think what the devil tells you but that doesn’t mean it’s true. Please reconsider.

    • Anonymous

Theres one problem with lucifer…he’s the perfect example of what not to do, and how not to perceive godlyness. When lucifer says he is equal to god, and that he is god, he’s doing it from pure ego. Lucifer says, none of his empty brothers shall ever share his blood. He recognizes that he’s god, because technically yes….he is, hes a part of the creation as much as any individual one of us or piece of sand on the beach. The problem is, he separated from us, he doesn’t want to be a part of us, we, I, or All. He wants to use this god realization for ego. Its a dangerous path, because the ego leads to destruction. When you try to validate yourself as god, you do things, you do…satanic things.

Ego, the self, greed, haughtiness. All can be guilty of it, even those who claim to walk the path of god, if you do it for yourself….what makes you any different from lucifer, who only thinks of himself? We are all god, but not all of us share the same intent, proof….lucifer.

    • Matthew R. Kucera

satan is an angel of god.. he is used by god to tempt people to do wicked things.. when the person chooses correctly it is all the more celebrated. bear in mind god’s eternal forgiveness and loving kindness.. all that stuff about satans revolt and fall from heaven is symbolic for what you are.. the flesh.. the falling away from perfect form of god.. god is all there is.. satan is a separation but still god.. you are a separation but still god.. god sends satan to tempt you.. actually god is sending himself to tempt himself… why? because.. no reason.. eternity is boring… that is actually the reason for endless variation… infinite creation and possibility… its all god… I’m god.. youre god.. we’re all god.. forgetting this fact is all part of it… what good would it be if you always knew you were god so god programs his creations to forget.. but you always know deep inside. even tho you will forget later and go back to daily life struggle… its all part of the eternal illusion..

      • Teagan Kelk

hahahaha well said brother. “because… no reason.. eternity is boring”

Fluffy thoughts are all well and good as long as we have enough food to eat, relative physical safety, and websites like this to browse (which I do)…

But turn off the lights for a few days, or get hungry, really hungry, when there is not enough food to eat, or get punched in the face for no reason by someone you don’t even know…

… that’s the real world humanity lived in for most of our history. Fluffy thoughts work best when we are coddled by the soft, warm cocoon of civilized society. That’s when we get brave and arrogant and think we’re all that.

    • Arvind G Balasubramaniam

Jesus lived in times that can hardly be described as fluffy. Yogis didn’t live comfortably in AC lounges. Maslow’s theory holds good always, but humans have always desired a spiritual connection, perhaps it is because that is our real “home”.

  • Jason

Neville Goddard was teaching this back in the 50’s! He gave hundreds of lectures right up into the 70’s and wrote numerous books on the matter.

  • Jaleshwar Kumar

REALLY GREAT. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHETHER ANY OF YOU HAS REALISED
    THAT “YOU ARE GOD”

  • It is my belief, that we are all closer to God, and more Godlike. Than Jesus could have ever hoped to have been, in his life. This is because, he was only of one way of obedience for us all. In the way we must live our lives. He was also just a half-breed, only being half human, and half divine. It is only the true humans, that are the true children of God, and were given the human soul unique to any others, and it is only a matter of time. Before we find the true power we hold inside.
    .
By the acceptance of all humanity, as God created them to be. Never again, to live in shame, and guilt, for our humanity, as Jesus tells us to be. This is because, it is only through his jealousy, that he cast his judgments on humanity, and we are all far more, that he could ever hope to be in our lives today.
    .
Then, it is only through our belief, we are all sinners, born of a fallen nature, unworthy of the love of heaven on our own. Unless we live our lives in conformity, to just one single minded way. That keeps us all from finding, the true power we all hold inside, with the gift we were given with humanity.
    .
As long as we live the lie, and keep disrespecting the gift we were given with human life. Then we will always be this way. Just running around judging, and condemning, all we see wrong in others. Just as Jesus planned for it to be. To keep us from ever finding the true power of God love.
    .
Through our acceptance of others, just as they were created to be. That we will finally unlock the power we all hold inside, in our humanity, on this earth today.———–THE EGGMAN———-

    What reincarnates?

    • Reincarnations, and things such as this. Were meant, for just the knowledge of God alone, so I guess there are the things we will never know. As for Jesus, it is my belief, that he was far less than we are, in our humanity today. This is because, he was only of one single minded way of forced obedience, of thinking, and believing, in telling us just how we must live in conformity to, today. He was only a half breed being half human and he was only half divine, and half human, and never knew what it meant, to have the individuality, of the human soul, in his life on this earth.
      .
It is my belief, that it is only those of pure humanity. That are to the true children, of the one, and only, true God today. It is my belief, the only reason Jesus cast his judgments on society. Was only through his own jealousy, of the individuality we were all given, with the human soul, unique to any others. It is my belief, that as long as we live in the fear of the lie, that we are all sinners, born of a fallen nature. Unworthy of the love of the father in heaven on our own.

Unless we conform, to just a one way single minded way of thinking, believing, and living our lives in for us all. That we will always live in love, through our fear, of the judgments of others around us. To keep us from ever finding, the true power we hold inside, given to us by God. Just as Jesus meant for it to be. Through his fear, of judgment, on this earth today. It is my belief, that it is only when we learn the true way of love, of the acceptance of all humanity, just as God created them to be.
      .
With great pride, and respect, for the gift that we were given in humanity. Like the love, and acceptance, he has for all humanity, on this earth today. It is only when we overcome our fear of these fairy-tails, on non-since,and lies, that we will finally find the true power, we hold inside, through our acceptance of all humanity, just as they were created to be free of judgment. It is also my belief that it will only be the day we learn to live in love pride respect and acceptance free of judgment to our fellow man today that we can all find the true power we all hold inside. Through the true way of love through our acceptance of all humanity just as God created them to be. No matter if we may agree, our disagree.
      .
That we will find the true power we hold inside, and become who we were meant to be. Becoming far more, than Jesus, and his kind, the divine. Could ever hope to be, in their existence, on this earth today, could ever hope to be. That we will finally find the power of Gods love, and who we were created to be. As long as we live the lie, in shame, guilt, and misery. For the gift we were all given in our humanity. Disrespecting our fellow man. Through our judgments of others, for their own good. Just as Jesus showed his love for us all, on this earth today.

It is my belief, that it is only when we stand strong, together as one. With great pride, and respect, for who we were created to be. That we will find the true power we hold inside. That the judgments of the fear of our religions, keeps us all from in our lives today. That only then, will we find just who we were created to be, in our lives today.———THE EGGMAN——–

This is the first time on this site.

The point is that is should not be about identity — whether you are or are not God. The point rather is that it is about service.

The divine presence accessible to us cannot be defined or conceptualized or lost in labels. Any identification with the unnameable nullifies the possibility of relationship. We cannot define this but we can relate to this as we are in turn addressed by this. The truth then calls to us in ways appropriate only to us.

The bible, our equivalent of the Gita, asserts that we are created in His likeness. One may learn that in the third line of Genesis the divine voice addresses itself. “And God (Elohim) said . . .” The divine presence divides itself into two, establishing through alterity the possibility of relationship. We, likewise, can do so through the faculty of the imagination. And it is through this splitting of self that we can empathize and have compassion for others. It is also through this capacity of self dialog that we can have a relationship with that which transcends our existence.

I think you’re off to a pretty bad start here in your assessment of “religion based off the bible as it is primarily taught”. You say: “it teaches first and foremost that we are separate from this force called God”. Well, actually, universally it is taught that God is personal. On every page of the bible, every characteristic of personhood is attributed to God. He speaks (“… and the impersonal force said”?), He has a will, emotions etc. And this can be reasonably deduced without the bible… Let me explain:

The science is in, that the universe had a beginning a finite time ago…

Since the universe can’t have brought itself into existence it follows that it had a transcendent cause…

A transcendent cause of the universe must be personal for a number of reasons. Eg it’s the only explanation fitting the criteria that stands in causal relations.

    ———-

You suggest the idea that man is separate from God contradicts the bible, because the bible teaches that we are God. Ok. I’m intrigued now. I’d be very interested to read what you make of all the passages in the bible that seem to teach the opposite. Here’s one example:

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” – Isaiah 59:1-2

It wouldn’t make much sense if it was written like this, “Behold, my hand is not shortened, that it cannot save myself, or my ear dull, that it cannot hear myself; but my iniquities have made a separation between me and… myself, and my sins have hidden my face from… myself so that I do not hear… myself”

That just sounds schizophrenic. And even then it doesn’t remove the understanding of separation from God.

You seem to be pitting the bible against itself to make a point. But that will never work. So the way I see it you only really have 1 option, to suggest that the bible is only reliable here and there. I’d love to talk about the manuscript evidence and everything else with you, but first I think you need to answer this question: What justification do you have for deeming the fragments of Scripture you use in support of your argument as authentic and reliable, and the passages devastating to your case as corruptions, without being completely arbitrary?

    ———-

You’ve stated your mission is to convince the world that not only is everyone equal to God, but that they are God. You go on to say any belief contrary to this is contrary to the bible. Don’t be fooled, this was Satan’s message of deception from the beginning:

“He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” – Genesis 3:1-5

The bible incontrovertibly says the exact opposite of what you’re saying when it asks… “To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.” – Isaiah 40:25-26

    Or what about this one…

“What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.” – Psalm 8:4. That’s pretty definitive too, wouldn’t you say? What are we, that God should even be mindful of us! And you’re suggesting we’re His equals?!

The bible from front to back is replete with examples like this (What about worship? Why would I be commanded to worship my equal?)… I’d just suggest you pick it up, open it anywhere and start reading. It won’t be long before you run into one…

So again, on what basis do you pick and choose which scriptures you accept (which I’ll get to) and which you dismiss without being arbitrary?

    ———-

You confuse me a little further on. You seem to contradict yourself. You say:

“If those people could center themselves in the awareness that they are God-consciousness instead of just believing in the existence of such a magnificent force, then we could change the world in a matter of months. It is only when we continue to live separate from this infinite consciousness which is our original nature, that we are powerless…”

So… in one paragraph (and in this post as a whole) you’ve tried to convince people of the present reality that they ARE “God”, and in the very next sentence you say they are living separate from “God”…? Earlier you said, “the foundational flaw of religion based off of the bible as it is primarily taught today… is that it teaches first and foremost that we are separate from this force called God.” Does that mean you’re perpetuating the foundational flaw of religion, according to you, when you say people are living separate from “God”?

    ———-

“None of the major spiritual teachers throughout history were religious. Jesus wasn’t a Christian” This statement is patently false. Jesus, as a matter of history, was a Jew. Not just any Jew, but he was the prophesied Messiah. In fact Jesus fulfilled dozens of Old Testament prophesies, from the method of his death (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, written centuries before crucifixion was even invented), even to things He couldn’t deliberately set out to fulfill if he wanted to.. Like being born in Bethlehem for example (Micah 5:2), and the list goes on and on.

    ———-

In reference to 1 John 4:16 you said:

“Jesus says quite clearly here that God is love”…

Well, not to be rude but, no. No, He doesn’t. John is the author, and to my knowledge he doesn’t quote Jesus in that book once. The only reason I point this out is because this post seems very poorly researched.

    ———-

Under the subheading “All human emotion is energy”, you seem to have 2 problems:

    1. How do you escape the charge of relativism? You say:

“What we have labeled as various emotions is merely our endeavor to classify and label different vibrations of energy”.

If that’s true, then I could rationalize I’m going to bring devastation on you, because at the deepest level the only consequence would be a different “vibration of energy”… or whatever. That is of no moral significance. There is no deeper meaning, no ultimate accountability or source of morality since you reduce God to energy. Energy is amoral. This whole theory is very nihilistic.

    2. You commit the fallacy of equivocation. You said:

“When you are feeling really low energy, you say you are depressed. When you are feeling very malevolent energy, you say you are angry… when you are feeling the highest energy possible… you would say you are love”.

Can you spot it? You go from using ADJECTIVES “depressed” and “angry” to using the NOUN “love”. To avoid making this statement inherently fallacious you’d have to use “love” as an adjective, such as “loving” or “loved”. But that completely destroys your argument.

This is all not even to mention the complete lack of evidence for any of this. Have these “different vibrations of energy”, which are apparently what we call emotions, been measured or quantified? Or even observed?

    ———-

“Nothing is solid”.. I wonder if you jumped off of a roof, whether the pavement would agree with you.. ?

    ———-

If there is an energy that “is the force that connects all things because it is all things… and that energy is consciousness”, does that mean golf balls and apple pies are consciousness?

Again, I’d be interested to know what evidence you have that:
    1. This is all true
    2. It is infinite, as you say
    3. That it is “the source of creation”

Which brings me to what appears to be another big problem… You say:

“All that we are is energy, and that energy has no boundaries. It is infinite, it is the invisible force that permeates all space, and it is the force that connects all things because it is all things… Everything in the universe is connected by energy, and that energy is consciousness, and that infinite consciousness is the source of creation”.

Pay special attention to that last line… That’s the same as saying, “Everything in the universe, brought the universe into existence”. Read it again. This is plainly incoherent because for the universe to bring itself into being it would have to exist before it existed. That’s nonsense. Any cause of the universe, must transcend the universe.. That’s not really controversial, it’s common sense.

“This is a fact of physics”. Well, again, not to be rude but, no… No, it’s not.

    ———-

Zac SpencerImmediately after this you flesh out a glaring inconsistency, especially with the way you’ve abused 1 John 4:16, you say:

“When you oscillate with the vibration of love, you are resonating with the highest energy of creation which by necessity must be that universal and infinite consciousness”

But you said EVERYTHING is that consciousness, that it permeates ALL things, so by your logic I could “oscillate with the vibration of (HATE)” and achieve the same thing. In fact I shouldn’t have to oscillate with anything at all should I? Just existing should do the trick based on this whole idea as you’ve stated it. It kinda makes the connection you’re trying to draw with 1 John 4:16 redundant wouldn’t you say? Could it be that this verse is about bearing fruit and living in obedience to God’s word being the evidence that we have intimate fellowship with Him (John 15)? In fact back up a few verses:

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. ” – 1 John 4:7-14

It doesn’t say, by this “we have seen and testify that we are God”. It says, “we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world”. It says He is “the propitiation for our sins”. This is the key point you miss. This is the message of the bible. This is the gospel. Bear with me for a bit here… The same John who wrote these words also quoted Jesus as saying:

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10

    But there’s a problem:

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23

Our sin disqualifies us from experiencing that abundant life and separates us from God: “For the wages of sin is death…” – Romans 6:23

Romans 6:23 doesn’t finish there though, it goes on:

“…but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

We can be set free from our sin through Jesus Christ, and have that intimate abiding relationship with God (mentioned in 1 John 4:16) restored. This is how it was accomplished:

“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

Out of love Jesus Christ willingly died the death that should’ve been ours (Romans 6:23 above), for our sin, so that we could receive “the free gift of eternal life”…

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

Did you notice that? Faith is the way to receive and experience that gift of life:

“if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved!” – Acts 16:31

This is the message the bible was given to convey…Not that there’s some impersonal energy that you can become, but that the personal creator of all things loves you, and you can know Him.

    ———-

The next verse you use is John 10:34, “Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?” You said:

“This second quote of his couldn’t be any clearer… Jesus is clearly telling each and every one of us… that we are indeed God; that you are God.”

But He simply isn’t. To give you some context, He is being accused of blasphemy after referring to Himself as the Son of God in the previous verses. Jesus responds to their accusation by quoting Psalm 82:6… Two things here:

    1. The “you” in “you are gods” is exclusively addressing the judges in ancient Israel, it is not universally addressing mankind. THIS couldn’t be any clearer from the context of Psalm 82. So He is by no means “telling each and every one of us… that we are… God”.

    2. These judges were only called that insofar as they occupied a God ordained position of authority and judgment; they were God’s representatives on earth and judged in His place. They were NOT addressed as gods because ontologically they were. In fact, God goes on to tell them they will perish for judging unjustly!

Jesus is saying, if this particular group of people can be called that, then how much more can He?

    ———-

You go on to say: “Every person without exception is God. Every animal, every tree, and every star. It is only from the ego that we perceive separateness”. Tell me, what requires the bigger ego: To think you’re created by God? Or to think you ARE God?

“Calling that energy ‘God’ is provable”, by all means please do…

    ———-

Even with Luke 17:21, have you really studied that verse? How do other translations render the original Greek? And why is it different? Have you asked these questions?

    – “nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”” – ESV
    – “nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” – NIV
    – “nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.” – NASB

There are reasons for this you obviously haven’t considered.

That aside, even leave it the way you’ve quoted it. The way you then expanded on it is thoroughly eisegetical. It’s just not in the text at all. And not only is it not in that text, it is antithetical to the rest of Luke and the bible as a whole. It’s just wrong. Like I said earlier, just pick it up and start reading from anywhere, you’ll soon see what I mean.

    ———-

I was a little shocked by this: “There is no difference between those who bowed at the feet of Jesus and those who hung him from the cross”. Really? Really?! I did point out the nihilistic nature of this whole idea earlier… I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

    ———-

I for one am glad I’m not God, because I stuff up a lot… And no offense but I’m glad no one else on earth is God either for the same reason. In fact it’s just another one of many reasons to reject this whole idea. Besides, how did God forget he was God? That doesn’t sound like a god I want to trust my life to.
We actually would probably agree on a lot. We both reject atheistic secular humanism for example. But I wish you’d consider what I’ve tried to share with you.

Thank you for sharing this Zac, I absolutely agree with you…

You missed the point entirely. The Universe IS God. You are part of the Universe. You are therefore God.

You exist in the mind and speak from the mind and you will react against this with no doubt another lengthy and “thought out” response. This is precisely the issue, brother. How can you claim to rationalize God and the cause of the Universe and then in the same incredibly wordy breath state that you can’t be God because you make errors.

      Don’t think.

Be still and know that YOU are God.

Be still and know YOU WERE God

Keep telling yourself that and living powerless while the rest of us awakenn to the truth that we ARE, ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE God. We’ll be waiting for you when you finally tell your ego to shut up and get out of the way of the real you.

I have to suggest that first and formost you look into the real meaning of a prophecy, and also do your research on the matter of all known spiritual teachers and the “missing years of christ”. Also, you make yourself sound extremely ignorant when you try to be clever with ONLY the facts that you have made an effort to delve into, so I also suggest, since you know the Bible so well, that you look into the missing books of the Bible (that are by the way, also just as true as the books you know so well). Your closemindedness only hinders you. As a final suggestion to you, please think about looking into ancient geometery and how it corralates to the Bible and God and Humans. Spirit Science on youtube is a great place to start this adventure.

    • Zach; I think you are making this God, and religion thing. Far more difficult, than it has to be. All you must do to follow these ways, is to believe you are born of a fallen nature, unworthy of heaven. Unless you bow down, conform, and obey, just who your religion tells you that you must be. Living you life, in fear of ever being disobedient, to the single minded ways, of who you are told to be.
      .
Through the fear of your own final judgment, that was only a lie. Then, just live in the fear, that all you say, or do, may offend something, that is only in your mind. Through the fear of this imaginary thing, sending you to hell, when you die. Then believe, the way of love. Is to point our fingers, and judge, and condemn others, for their own good, just as Jesus showed his love for us all in humanity today.
      .
Then, just look at the suffering, God allowed his own son to go through, for his love of us. Then just believe, this is the way God works, and think if he allowed his own son to go through all this suffering, for his love for us. Then we could only imagine, what he would do to us. If we were ever to disobey his ways. Then, just go through life, believing the way of love. Is to put the fear of God into others, either physically, or emotionally, if they don’t obey.
      .
Then preach shame, and guilt into them, for their actions, or who they were created to be, in their lives today. Then, just do this over, and over again. In hopes others will conform, and obey, just one simple minded way of thinking, believing, and living their lives. In total conformity, and obedience, to live a good, and righteous life today. If you were to look, you would then see, that all religion works in this same way, through fear today.
      .
As for me, I will never fall for this again. This is because, I would rather be thankful, for the gift I was given in human life. Then, just stay in pride, respect, and dignity, for my individuality, and all others in humanity. Through acceptance, free of judgment of all humanity, not caring of any of the judgments others may preach upon me to feel better about themselves today. Accepting others, just as God created them to be, on this earth today, just as he created us to be.
      .
I just wonder, how much longer it will take for humanity to see. That all religion was just a lie, that worked through fear. To keep us all obedient, in our lives today. This is so, those who are the best versed, at the art of the fear, of the judgments of religion. Will always have all the money, power, and control over others, through our fears of their lies. This is then all religion ever was, and ever will be, on this earth today, just a lie in reality.

You are overthinking, Zac. You will never understand God by thinking. Close the bible and open your heart. Understand God through spirit. This article is 100% accurate.

We WERE a part of God, SIN separated us from him, we are filthy and shameful, that’s why it is blasphemy to say we are god ( Even though we really were god in the begining, drops from the ocean) In this flesh, we are limited, we are called humans, if God didn’t save us, we will be separated from him forever, or perish forever. Maybe it is why God is willing to die on the cross for us, instead of simply wiping us out and create new humans.

“What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You
visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You
have crowned him with glory and honor.” – Psalm 8:4. That’s pretty
definitive too, wouldn’t you say? What are we, that God should even be
mindful of us! And you’re suggesting we’re His equals?!

Indeed, in my translation — the NRSV — and in many others, other than KJV — the translation is “For You have made him a little lower than God.” People love to fight about this too — ran into a really hate-filled exchange on one board of so-called “Christians.” For me the translation of “a little less than God makes more sense,” because we are made in the Image and likeness of God, angels are not. But the real point here is that we are not God.

Lots of folks think that all those in New Thought espouse that “we are God” nonsense, but they don’t. Folks like Emmet Fox, H. Emilie Cady, Joseph Murphy, and many others, never, ever say that we are God. “He that is within me is greater than he that is in the world” certainly does not make me God. And, frankly, I am very grateful that I am not God, as you say. There is so much that I don’t understand and if I had to rely on myself for the answer I’d never get anywhere.

I’ve only seen this idea of “I am God” in some of the ego-bloated Word of Faith preachers and the new generation of Law of Attraction folks.

As far as what these folks who are saying “don’t think, close the Bible and open your heart,” what nonsense. I say push religion aside, take the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and your heart will be open to the Truth. What you write in your post is Truth, pure and simple, and you can only get that from God’s Word. As Emmet Fox says the Bible is not just a book, it is the manual for the soul, as he has also said that there are folks that can read the Bible over and over again for years and have no understanding and, thus, do not understand the power of the Word or the real nature of God.

So I’ll continue to open my Bible and open myself to the Holy Spirit, because that’s how a true understanding of God comes — and it’s really awesome.

We are God. God is all there is. I am you and you are me. You can’t take God’s name in vain because it’s I AM. Time is an illusion. The only time it is is NOW. When Jesus said when you see me you see the Father, it’s because everything is ONE. He said we would do greater miracles than he. Let he who has eyes to see, see and ears to hear, hear. Judge not lest you be judged because we are all ONE! Stop judging yourself! What you do for your brother you do for yourself, because we are all ONE. Heaven is within, within what? Satan is Fear. All there is is LOVE which is energy, pure consciousness. In this dimension we play with polarities. male -female, hot-cold, fear-love. The secret is to be balanced. Old Testament, an eye for an eye, New Testament, turn the other cheek. Again the polarities. Jesus was trying to show you how to break the self imposed Karma. People couldn’t understand so Jesus said, then believe in me. It’s your faith that makes you whole. Jesus could not perform miracles in some towns because of lack of faith. How could that be if he is God?? It’s your faith that saves you! You don’t get peace by hating war, you get peace by loving peace.

    • MIAMI; I think what you wrote in the way to live live was all true and right. It is also my belief that we are all unique but created to be equal in the eyes of God in our fellow man also. I see that through judgment we see some as very intelligent and give them respect in society. I can also see there are those we see as slow or stupid and label them with a mental illness force them to take drugs and get them to believe they are less than and sick within themselves so the so called intelligent people can always make money off them by keeping them in shame fear and guilt so they will always do as they are told and take these drugs for the rest of their lives that all those who pay their SSI taxes must pay for in reality. Even though we believe these are the smartest people through the way the world works today I now know different. Sure these people may know certain things that society respects today. I can also see those they put down call crazy judge and condemn to keep them in shame and guilt for who they are. That they will know others things about the most important things in life that these so called intelligent people could ever hope to know in their lives today. This is because I found that these people we judge and put down in life have something that the rest of us fail to see. This is their love for others just as God created them to be free of the judgments of others. While these so called good and righteous people spend their lives pointing their fingers and putting others down through their own self-righteousness in knowing just who they must be so they can take advantage of them in their lives today. Then they just set back in the belief they are good and righteous in all they do and say feeling their souls in their lives today. Then they actually believe they are doing this through love to help them learn the ways of conformity and obedience in their lives so they can learn to live a good and righteous life by being doing and saying just what we tell them they must be in their lives today. As for these people that live through the judgments of fear through their religion that think their souls are truly saved. The way I see it is that they couldn’t get any farther away from the true pride respect and love free of judgment he has for humanity on this earth today even if they tried but God knows they have been deceived and will always accept them anyways because he knows all the reasons why they lived their lives in this way. It is my belief that the truth of God is the fact that this human race never needed to be saved from anything in the first place but our fears in the beliefs of the judgments of lies of our final judgments that were cast on us all from the dawning of time. It is my belief that God has great pride and respect for all his creation of humanity and created us all unique to any other so we could learn and grow through the differences in our fellow man taking what we believe to be good and right into ourselves today through our own free will free of the fear of the judgments of any man or beast in their lives on this earth today. Not to live in shame and guilt for who we are judging condemning and even killing others that don’t think and believe as they do through their self-righteousness as it works on this earth today in the name of love and concern for others in our lives today. It is my belief we were all created to be free to be who we were created to be for each and every member of humanity. Then just as we must be free we must allow others to be free to be how they were created to be and find their own destiny in life free of the fear of judgments just who they may be also. It is also my belief that we are all as one also so when we disrespect or fellow man through the fears of judgment then this is just like disrespecting God himself. As if to say we don’t believe in his perfection in the creation of us all and we know better that he does just how others must live their lives through the lies of the judgments of religion on this earth today. It is my belief that when we can see the most valuable thing in our lives is respect we have for human life and all else fails in comparison to this. Then stop putting so much value on money and all the shinny bobbles as we do on this earth today. Then just put value on human life instead seeing all our fellow man as our equal with no person ever being over or under any other. That it is only then that we will even begin to see the true ways of God’s love in our lives today through our acceptance of others just as they were created to be. Then with all being equal we can learn to share this earth as one with no possessions of any thing or any one on this earth. After this we would learn to do things for others because it makes us feel good to do so and not for personal gain any longer. I know there are millions of people on this earth today that were given labels of disrespect and forced to take drugs through the love and concern of others to insure they would no longer get respect from the rest of society on this earth today. Now just think if we would take just one of these people off their drugs and give them the same respect we would give to anyone else in this society accepting them as they are. Sure most of us would see his words as just a mad man but now just think if their is just one man who may see his words in a different light and respect him for who he is. Then together both these people could get together and come up with a new idea to make this world a better place for us all. Now just take that thought and multiply it by a couple of million. Only then would we just see the tip of the iceberg of what we could all become as a race of people through the way of God in pride respect and acceptance free of the judgments of others. Sure we think we are all so smart with all the new technology we have to make our lives easier today. We don’t even realize just how far behind from the place we should be at in our humanity on this earth today. To give you an example of this all we must do is see that all that matters to us is all in the metaphysical realm on this earth today. Noe trough the fear of our own self-righteousness through the judgments of our religions today this is all we can see and don’t even know of the spiritual realm that exists right in front of our face on this earth today either because we are all out for ourselves always having to be right. If we look at all this new technology you would find that for the most part this has came to us all through just one simple minded way of thinking. This is just looking at more efficient ways of killing our fellow man through our own self-righteousness. We don’t even realize we could be so much more in our humanity today. If we look we would then see we live in a whole world of people yet we are all still alone in our lives today. The reason for this is if others will judge us our accept us as we are in our lives today. Then through what I have been through I know just what a true and real fear this is if we don’t bow down agree and obey just who others tell us we must be in our humanity. It is my belief that is is only when we learn to actually listen and accept each other free of judgment without getting angry through our judgments of others. That only then will any of us find the truth of God and just who we were created to be today with everyman having the freedom and independence to be as they were created to be free of fear on this earth today. We must first realize that if we worship Jesus or any of the other religions on this earth today. That no man will have any hope of this world ever being a better place for us all today through our acceptance of others in humanity. This is because to believe in religion is to believe we all must think believe and live our lives in today. Each religion my be different but if we would look we would find that they all work through conformity keeping everyman from ever being free to be who they were created to be. If we look we would see that if we believe in any religion. We must first admit we were all created imperfect in our humanity through our differences today. Then believe in some sort of insanity like we are all just sinners born of a fallen nature unworthy of the love of heaven on our own unless we bow down conform and obey just who others in our religion tell us we must be. Then just grovel for our sins to something that isn’t even there in humanity. When we never did nothing wrong in the first place but just be the unique people God created us all to be in our lives today. As long as we believe in this way and disrespect the gift we were given in the individuality of our humanity. Then allow the fear of fairy-tails non-since and lies rule and control over us. Then there is no hope for any man to find the truth of God and who we were created to be. We must see all religion will only bring shame guilt and misery for who we were created to be in our humanity Through our fear of the judgments of lies in our lives today. Then just judge condemn and put the fear of God into others to help them through our love and concern so they can learn the error of their ways and conform to living a righteous life just as they are told to be in our lives today. I can see we clearly haven’t reached the level of maturity to break free from the ways of love through the fear of judgment and live in the truth of God through love through acceptance of all humanity on this earth today just as he accepts us all as we are in our lives today free of the judgments of any man. If we could see the truth we would then see that God is far more than needing threats of fear shame guilt and misery to get us to be who he wants us to be in our lives today. This is because he knows the heart and soul of everyman and knows of all the reason we do today and also knows that all evil comes from the judgments of others in our lives today. Just why would a God that is almighty in this way need all these childish ways of fear to get us to be who he wants us to be. This is because his way is we all must be free and live our own lives and not to live in conformity to just who others tell us we must be in our lives today. I now see the evil of judgments truth does rule and control over us all today. I can see we are all far to cowardly to be who God wants us to be and stand up with great pride and respect for the gift we were given with the individuality in our humanity today. I now see we all like living in shame and guilt for our humanity on this earth today. I see we choose these ways because without fear or judgment then just who could we get power and control over others around us today. Then if we saw all our fellow man as our equal combining all our wisdom and talents together as one as it was meant to be on this earth today. Then just who could we make all our money off the backs of the suffering of all those we see as beneath us today so we can feel like we are better than others around us. Then get all we want and get others to do just as they are told by making them feel shame and guilt for who they are today so we can get over on others in our lives today. Then if we were to ever learn the ways of love through acceptance then just how could we ever live our lives in this way. This is why it is my belief that the day we learn the truth of God. That it will truly be a day of great tragedy to us all in our humanity today. This comes from just one simple question we all have today and that is just what is in it for me. As long as we believe in the ways of religion. I can see all our true God will ever be is that of money and it won’t matter just who we step on or hurt along the way through our own self-righteousness on this earth today. It is my belief that we can’t go on much longer in this way and the truth of God is right around the corner for us all in our humanity today. When the truth of God comes to humanity it is said that at this time we will see just who the sick and insane people of this world truly are today. I see this already happening in my life today. This is because whenever I tell any of the people of judgments any of the truths of God today. Like the equality of all humanity and we can never help others by getting them to feel shame and guilt for who they are so they will conform through the fear of just what will happen to them if they don’t conform and obey just who we tell them they must be for their own good for their own good so they can learn to live a good and righteous life through the ways of obedience and conformity in their lives through our love and concern for others and tell them this was never the way the truth of God worked and will never help any other in our humanity today. Then tell then the truth that we were all created unique just as God meant for us to be and this was so we can learn and grow through the differences in our fellow man today. Then tell them the fact that we were all creatyed to be free and this was meant to be a basic human right no matter if we agree or disagree in our liuves today. T

This is the worst Article I have EVER seen. Out of context… Wow out of context! There is nothing to argue. There are no teachings of Jesus in this article. There isn’t even a single full verse quoted. let alone a chapter. Context requires the whole story and even background to the issues of the people of the day it was written in. If this was written by a grade 10 student he would fail for simply not being good at research. Good at leading the blind it seams.
Sorry need something worth my time to comment on the content.
    Not a single truth.
Ephesians 4 read the whole chapter
14… carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes

You sound really scared and confused, like a typical christian. I see you typed out this nonsensical ego defensive drivel a year ago, but felt compelled to reply. If anyone sounds like a tenth grade child here, it’s you. And it’s spelled “seems” for “my” sake.I hope that you learn to love and let go of fear one day. You are god afterall. You’ll remember eventually, whether your ego likes it or not.

    Revelation 3:21

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Two different thrones. Also, Jesus’s “throne” is a metaphor. It’s not about royalty, but about the new existence after Justice has been accomplished. I’m quite sure that if Jesus was given the chance, he would re-word it.

As for the article itself, my only reply is another verse from scripture:

    Genesis 3:5

“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Those who are still promoting this Satanic doctrine know good and evil, and consistently choose evil using smooth words just as the devil did in the garden.

  • The voice in the wilderness

Everyone has the potential to be Godly yes.

We are all invited to sit on the throne next to God as Jesus was. (Rev 3:21)

    But only those who overcome.

Overcome the trials and tribulations of every-day life.
Only those who’s faith in the end wont falter.
Only those who by choices in life make works that are of love.
Only those who do not sin against their own heart.

We hold the keys to immortality in our own hands.

By faith, love and works. Where love is the most important (1Cor 13)
By truth, admitting our sins and being honest about who we are.
By walking the narrow difficult path of self acceptance, mercy, forgiveness, without judging and ever loving.

There are many acting like antagonists on our path.
How we conquer and how we aim decide where the arrow will fall.

Remember that mercy will be shown to them that show mercy.
    Forgiveness to those that forgive.
And that love cover many sins.

So if ever in doubt, have faith that loving, forgiving and showing mercy is always the right way to go.

I’m sorry but I must disagree based on my understanding of scripture. (I refer to the Bible since that is what I am familiar with and where my understanding comes from.) We are not little “gods” waiting to come into our own simply by realizing the God within. This is made very clear in Genesis 3:22 when God says, Behold, the man is become as (like) one of us,”. It is also evident in this same verse that there is a restriction of not having eternal life (or ever attaining it at some prior point) that still separated man from the fullness of the Creator.

Prior to Genesis 3, God and man had a harmonious energy/vibratory signature and we were in a mentor/mentee relationship with Him. Physically sentient man received a spark of divinity from God, while being cultivated to be an integral part of Source (God.)

Genesis 2:16 – 3:6 – Man becomes spiritually sentient (the tree of knowledge) and is no longer raw creation. Could the serpent mentioned later in these verses be symbolic of man’s wrestling with the lower vibratory state of the flesh and his higher spiritual frequency?

Genesis 3:7 – 3:14 – Spiritual unity, vision, and spiritual training was broken with the Creator. We no longer had an vibratory/energy signature that was in harmony with God’s.

Genesis 3:14 – 3:24 – Man’s decisions and actions taken in this non-harmonious state (Adam and Eve’s in this case) cause a physical shift in man’s environment. (Quantum Physics are involved here as man has formed a different reality in this out of sync state.

Genesis 3:24 – The tree of life, A connection to full intimacy with God is not open to Man in his lower (fallen) energy/vibratory state.

Jesus Christ – had an intercessory vibratory signature. He was able to exhibit the power of God but was somewhat limited by the fleshly form He took on. Prevented him from seeing his own future.

Jesus came to not only teach man of God’s ways, but to live them as an example. He did not serve His ego, but lived to serve all living things. (This is essentially a Buddhist teaching. A very enlightening spiritual view, that is very similar to the path of Christ. )

To “believe on Him to be saved”, means that we must trust that His is the way to a higher dimension of existence (Heaven) and think and behave likewise. So to put our faith and trust in Jesus is to think, act, and expect to have equal or greater outcome than He did in His ministry. This is the path back to spiritual unity, vision, and spiritual training that was originally broken with the Creator.

To be “saved” simply recognizes Christ, through His life and redemptive work, as the inter-dimensional intermediary that can provide the reconnection to full spiritual intimacy with God.

Though there have been many great spiritual teachers, all point to our inward self or our purely physical self to reconcile with God. But the Cherub and Flaming Sword is still guarding the Tree of Life (whatever that really is; as I am not a literalist.)

To my current understanding, Christ is the best example of physically showing us the art of balancing the flesh with the spirit and gives us hope of reconnecting with God (our spiritual source) and having intimacy with Him again. I am always open to learning, but there seems to be way to much appeal to ego in your theory. I fail to see how what you have set forth benefits the restoration of a relationship with the Devine. It only benefits the little “gods” that are created through the massaging of their egos.

This was cute, but it’s hard to take an article seriously when it starts out saying, “Jesus said”…. When 1 John had not one single word in it from Jesus’ mouth. 1 John was a letter written by an author, presumably John… That leaves to question, how much time did you spend actually reading and thinking about the content and context when you couldn’t even take a moment to note to self that 1 John didn’t even have any “red words” in the passage? Not to mention that each of the verses you used are small peices taken out of a bigger scenario. You can take a puzzle peice out of the box and tell someone based on the color and look of the puzzle piece that it is a small part of a duck… but when the rest of the pieces of it are there and it’s all put together, you see that the picture was a flower vase. Again, cute. I’m sorry but maybe a little more knowledge on the subject matter on THIS side of the religion before you up and try to make such a changing statement.

we are god, we create our world and its moral values each day over the course of each week,, and maybe have a rest on sunday.
all the good we do is what we call god,,its as strong as we make it.
we are also what we call the devil,, the collective bad or negativity of us all….
    its as simple as that
that’s why over the years many people from all parts of the world
have realised this fact and tried to explain it to people in all the different religions.

God said, “I am (present tense) he (singular) which was, is and is to come. This signifies a transformation of God from what he was to what we are to what we will become. Through Jesus, God became us so we can become him, the I am has become we are. The dream is in us and we are in the dream, God sees through our eyes now or the eye of our imagination. When we awaken or become alive, we will see through the eye of his imagination. That is when reality as we see it now becomes the dream and the dream becomes reality. We come from light, we return to light,we are light, but we are dead, we sleep, we are dreaming the dream, we are in total darkness. God has become the darkness of our imagination so we can become the light of his mind.

RELIGION is people trying to be good enough. They will always fail – that is the lesson of the Old Testament. The New Testament is the salvation of humanity from their failure as documented in the Old Testament.

It is this simple. Our worldly minds dislike this simplicity.

Every one of you – especially the author and those who feel themselves to be so ENLIGHTENED… I challenge you to quiet your mind and read in the New Testament just one book – Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Especially John.

Or choose to hide in what YOU have imagined… that is a flimsy little shack, built by a human mind.

Instead, seek what is in God’s word… enter into that FORTRESS and find real power. It is that simple.

  • The person who is meditating has the greatest possibility of reaching the highest peaks of intelligence.

Because in meditation he is doing the greatest possible work that a man is capable of.

And that is realizing oneself, knowing: “Who am I.”

We are all made of the same stuff, called consciousness.

The moment one knows oneself, he has known all the secrets of life, existence, consciousness.

Nothing remains unknown to him; all the mysteries and all the secrets suddenly open their doors.

Christ is not a person, it is an experience.

Jesus had it, you can have it.

    Christ is synonymous with Buddha.

What we call in the East the Buddha, the awakened,

The West has called the Christ, the crowned one.

    I know Jesus directly.

I know Jesus because I know myself; that is my way of knowing all the buddhas.

The moment you know your own buddhahood you have come to know all the buddhas,

    The experience is the same.

The innermost being is not something to be achieved in the future, it is here and now,

    It is already the case.

Whatsoever is to be attained is here, present in you right this very moment.

If you can trust without any effort, it can become revealed.

It is not a question of time, of you having to work it out.

It is not somewhere far away that you have to travel to.

    It is you.

    It is your very being.

My friends, “You are God” is the lie that the Serpent tempted Eve in the garden of Eden with. It is close but not the exact truth.
Christ left us something when he left the earth and many do not truly understand this. The Holy Spirit is the part of God that makes us one with God and like him.
Jesus was God and God was Jesus (yet not) for the simple reason that they were connected by telepathy and completely so.
When Jesus left, he made sure this connection was still somewhat available to us, as Gods holy spirit. One might liken it to a telephone line.
The thing is, this is not automatic , and one must first accept Christ into their life. And don’t be shy…ASK for the holy spirit, the apostles actualy shared this with each other by the laying on of hands. This spirit resides in the heart as a low grade feeling of love and even companionship. In the Bible it is also called the comforter. It does not stop natural feelings, it does not ‘possess’ a person in the same way a demon spirit would. It, at lest for me, seems more of a factor of empathy. Though sometimes I also get dream-visions or direct communication as if my conscious was talking to me. It is sometimes but not normally, a full out telepathy , like the angels have.
Perhaps this is a good thing, it allows for us to make our mistakes without being condemned for disobeying direct instructions from God. I for one am very thankfull for this, for I owe my life to following a warning to return home from driving a delivery job, and by doing so, totally advoided a fatal accident that occurred at the intersection I would have entered two blocks away.

If you embrace the All is One cosmology concept though, you are embrasing something that may ensnare you. All is not one, there is a heavenly war going on that also involves us by our choices. Satan/Lucifer is out to gather everyone up to resist and fight against the heavenly forces that will be arriving here soon. He is out to deceive as many as he can, and utterly kill as many as he can, in an attempt to keep folks from being ‘saved’ by Christ and having eternal life while he..the Adversary , is doomed to destruction. Human beings will enherite the earth which Lucifer coveted so greatly. I could say we will not longer be a slave population to him either, but that actually happened when Christ was Crucified.

    • bozz

wow , low grade feeling of love that resides in the heart….. ,heart of an angel….. , mind of a devil, the mind deceives and is where your devil dwells, the mind carrys your judgments and sins. .become the master of your mind and defeat your demons and then you can get to the centre heart of the matter ,the door to the heart… the temple.. soul of man…ring a bell ,you are the key, find the note.. sing your song….

    This article is 100% TRUTH.
I spent 25 solid years imprisoned in orthodox, fundamentalist “Christianity” (Christian Reformed Church). I finally did the unthinkable: unthinkable to Christians, that is. I began investigating and exploring OTHER ancient wisdom writings of the East and Far East … writings that have withstood the test of time FAR LONGER than the New Testament.
As my understanding began to open and unfold, and my thirst for truth slowly being quenched (just as the Bible promises), I began to realize that the CORE teaching of all main world religions is the SAME.
As an orthodox Christian I was taught that we, as human beings, are vile sinners and totally depraved … and that our only hope is Christ. Little did I know (nor do orthodox Christians today know) that the Bible is speaking to our lower nature or lower self AND that we are depraved ONLY in our lower ego nature! What I didn’t realize (nor do orthodox Christians today realize) is that we AlSO have a Higher nature or Higher Self. This “Higher Self” is the divine spark within us ALL, though presently dormant and awaiting activation (“salvation”, “liberation”, “awakening”) in most people. This divine spark or Higher Self is none other than Christ consciousness OR Buddha consciousness OR Krishna consciousness OR Tao consciousness. It is all the same. All that a person has to do is to desire truth MORE than anything else (just as the Bible says)and to investigate and explore with a pure heart. Sadly though, orthodox Christians are “brainwashed” into believing that going outside of the Bible for any kind of understanding is against their “faith”.

What all of this means is that the Higher Self (divine spark or light that is currently asleep in most people) is the Christ of the Bible AS WELL AS the Buddha,or Lord Krishna, or the Tao (Tao simply means “the way” … the way or flow of the universe). But I thought that Christ is “the way, the truth and the light”?? HE IS. But I thought that Christ is the ONLY way?? HE IS. We MUST realize that these ancient accounts of divine messengers are all metaphors drawing our attention to our Higher Self … and it is our Higher Self that is the ONLY WAY to God realization.
Once we begin to realize this truth then many other fallacies of church doctrine become exposed for what they really are: UNTRUE. Doctrines derived as the result of the church’s misunderstanding and interpretation … such as the doctrines of “hell”, “salvation”, “heaven”, “wrath of God”, etc. The truth of these biblical topics ALL harmonize beautifully once we truly understand that we all have an indwelling Higher Self and that the “Kingdom of Heaven” is WITHIN. WITHIN, WITHIN, WITHIN. Church doctrine is nothing more than the “commandments of men”.

Jesus wasn’t Christian: true. He was JEWISH!

Buddha wasn’t Buddhist: obviously! He was HINDU!

If Jesus wanted to say “you are god”, he would have just said it. Instead he constantly refered to “my father.”

If you are god, why are you writing articles for money on the internet? Why don’t you stop all wars? Why do you need to eat?

Out creator have is the gift of being human. You are not omnipotent.

I believe and I am not a religious person, nor do I read the Bible, actually those who quote the Bible drive me crazy but somewhere I believe in the story of Jesus it is said that he was on Mt Sinai addressing a crowd and he said addressing the crowd “Behold God” What do you think he meant. He was looking at the crowd, I believe he was telling them they are God. The part that is interesting enough may be related to the times is that no one probably understood him but yet there seems to be indications that some did. This is maybe why we have so many interpretations in the Bible. The words are always taken literally and everyone has their definition.
So for argument sake I am not telling you this what he meant I am just saying this is whats in the Bible, some Bible somewhere.
He did speak of the Father but usually it was reference to the Father within. Anyway if one interest there are all kinds of writings that will confirm my comments. Thanks

      Food for thought

  • Jon

Small problem with story. Just a hiccup. No such person existed.
Funny that you all mention truth in the same breath though, thanks for the giggle.

  • We are NOT GOD – since we are created by God the Father and in His image, we are “gods” but NOT GOD HIMSELF. We have it within ourselves to become Saints and reside in the Kingdom of Heaven – but ONLY if we keep the Commandments of God the Father and Testimony of His begotten Son the Messiah which is revealed at NazareneCode.com

“…. that if you practice a bible/Jesus orientated religion, then it is actually in alignment with the truth of the teaching to believe that you are God.”

    NO! HELL NO!

I’m NOT going to practice a jewish bible religion!
What does Jesus have to do with the bible? You just said he didn’t start a religion. He even disavowed the pharisees and the jerusalem temple priests.

The world did pretty well, before judaism, before xtianity, before islam.
As a matter of fact, everything good we have today came from the Pagans: cement, to hygiene, the Golden Means, measurements, architecture, Common Law,and respect for Nature even wine.

What would the world be today without rhe Pagans?
I’m stay with my own Nature philosophy, thank you. No religion for me.

Opinions. Nothing more, nothing less. So God needs to “experience” himself in the guise of a mass murderer like Jeffrey Dahmer? What does God get out of the experience in His infinite perfection? Please, so many in this thread seem to know the mind of God.

AS who are you to question God for what he/she wants to experience and consider your God is now experiencing you at this moment as he/she is experiencing me in this moment. You are the mind of God otherwise you could not think.

I am a seeker of knowledge and love conversations of any kind and so I would like to commend all of those who have made their comments regarding this article which I believe was very thought provocative. I notice that no one died, and the insults where kept to a minimum so let me suggest that if we could have these conversations world wide and simply allow all to have our opinion of what we believe in by not trying to change who we are, the world might be a better place. When we get used to others opinions without trying to kill them then we will get used to what they believe in and respect each other for what we each believe in. We have to keep that middle man out of the way and start thinking for ourselves.
May you all have joyful an peaceful lives.
    Love yourselves into life.
    cheers

  • Robert

    My humble opinion is ;

You are the Dream and the Dreamer ,that was , is and will be.

Although love is the key for your separated part of Consciousness
or Source (God) to reunify with Source , the duality of love /hate
light/darkness etc,etc was created by Source to experience itself.
You cannot expetience yourself without another point of reference.
Without hate one cannot know love ,how do we know what light is
without darkness ,and so on. Inbetween those opposites are many
shades of grey , which give uncountable slightly different experiences of being.

Consciousness or Source is an unending stream of unifying and separating parts ,an unending up- and downward flow of experience,
    organised in a Fractalstructure.
One could say that what people call satanic or egoistic ,are parts on a separating path from Source. And parts with a more universal love are on a rejoining/integrating path. Both ways don’t have to go
in a sraight line ,but can go up and down. Withever path you are on ,Source creates an experience for itself.

Time is an illusionary concept ,everything IS (what we call past, presence and future exists simultaniously if you will)
but because we are a separated part we experience time like it’s
    linear.

Since we live in one of the lowest dimensions , the feeling of separation is the highest , and we experience the most that we (believe/think)ARE saparate from Source/Consciousness.that we are a
    separate (state of )being.

We can only comprehend something on the level of consciousness our
separated part has at the moment.

This description is very inadequate and of very limited lenght, but it’s hard to put in words.

    Interesting side note from YogaPhilosophy.com:

    LIBERATION [moksa]

Moksa or liberation is generally misinterpreted by impersonalists as the merging of one’s soul into the Supreme.

Mayavadis are very fond of merging into the Supreme like rivers that come down and then disappear into the ocean by merging with it.

The impersonal way of merging into the Supreme is generally sought by people who are frustrated by the sufferings of material existence. When one is disillusioned from material life and wants to practice renunciation by giving up one’s attachment to materialism, there is some leaning towards impersonalism, because of the frustration experienced in that hard struggle for existence.

Consequently those people consider the Supreme to be impersonal. And because they are too materially affected, the conception of retaining the personality after liberation from matter frightens them. When they are informed that spiritual life is also individual and personal, they become afraid of becoming persons again, so they naturally like to lose their individual existence and prefer a kind of merging into the impersonal void. This, however, is a kind of fearful stage of life, devoid of perfect knowledge of spiritual existence.

Moksa or liberation is neither a process of annihilating one’s individuality as taught by the mayavadis (illusionists) nor does the living entity merge into the great “nothingness” as taught by the atheistic philosophy of the Buddhist nirvana.

Both of these types of impersonal philosophies teach some type of spiritual suicide. But since the spirit soul is eternal, it cannot be killed by an artificial process of spiritual suicide.

Liberation, as the word implies, is a process of liberating oneself from the false conception of materialistic life. After material cessation, there is the manifestation of spiritual life. In spiritual life the same distinction is there, the same individuality is there, but in pure consciousness, full knowledge and bliss.

Real liberation is, therefore, not an impersonal experience but the attainment of one’s eternal spiritual body, free from the contamination of the materialistic ego.

“You are gods”is not the same as “You are god”. To understand this question one has to realize that ‘Love’ (unconditional)! can not be understood by the mind.
The real question, it seems to me is, “is there a source of divine love beyond our state of consciousness no matter how developed we become”?

If so that would be God!

Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three in one. That does not mean they are actually some 3 headed monster. It means they are so much one in agreement and purpose and likeness that they act as one. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we also experience this in as close as possible being human beings in the flesh. It definitely isnt about religion it is about having a relationship with God so close, so intimate, so in agreement with Him that we experience a deep sense of oneness. It doesnt make us God it makes us created beings that have a spirit that can communicate on a deeper level with God than most of us realize or ever experience. But the more time we spend in relationship with Him, praying, studying the Bible, meditating on Him we will find ourselves being more and more like Him and stop viewing Him as a judge that is just waiting to snuff us out first mistake we make. Just like we live with imperfect kids and wives and husbands we dont destroy them we just come more and more into a meaningful relationship with them and then there are those days you would swear you know what they are thinking you know them so well because you took time to be one with them, not physically, just intimately because you love them. Humans are gods? What a mess that would be. Oh wait, maybe that is part of the problem is those humans that think they are god over others. I would not trade a relationship that I have with a loving God for this writer’s so-called enlightenment which is no more than self exalting pride.

I like your explanation. I think most people are fearful. I am. It’s scary to do or think new things and concepts. But in the framework of a family I can feel some comfort in relating to it. Meditation is scary to me. I prefer the reality and people that I know. But I am curious, and I am open, just very cautious. I am very upset when a pet or person I know dies. I don’t like the thought of being away from them, I don’t like being alone. I’ve thought about people who separate themselves from society, nuns or monks, who spend years cloistered, meditating and praying. Sure, they may reach this higher consciousness, but are they actually contributing to the betterment of this earth? We need people who are doing menial jobs to keep the society functioning. We need the people who know how to implement plans for a better cleaner, healthier society to run the cities. We need people who are enlightened and thinking of the future to guide the planners. People are currently into health foods, natural remedies, recycling, exercise, and seeking knowledge. We just need a comfortable method to receive that knowledge. Lots of people do yoga and martial arts which involve some meditation. But few are able to explain to the average joe the feelings or experiences around enlightenment without sounding like fanatics.

I grew up a non-questioning Christian. By age 21 I had encountered too many questions I could not answer which led me to agnosticism. I studied everything but arrived at no fact-certain-truth until I was thirty-three. That’s when I found the only fact-certain-truth I needed. Essentially, I discovered that I had not continued to seek the truth to prove that God did or did not exist but had done all that work because I WANTED A FATHER LIKE CREATOR GOD TO EXIST!!

That’s how simple “Hope” became my only faith and frequent, specific, heartfelt prayer to the God I hoped for became my only religion.

Since that early morning in 1968, answered and unanswered prayer has guided my life and it has led me to a life-well-lived as I turn eighty and prepare to discover how right or wrong my choice has been.

      It is enough.

God is like the waters of a sea. Whatever is in us that is divine is like the water in a cup, having been dipped out of the sea. The water in the cup is the sea and yet it is separate from the sea source. When we die physically, our divine “cup” is returned to the “sea”. Thus we are God……and yet we are not.
    I think that’s pretty simple.

    • Zi Ang Wang

Only returned to the sea through the salvation of Jesus, polluted water is expelled

  • We the Sheeple

It is of no surprise that such an article would garner the number of responses thus far (with much more on the way for sure). A great many people have perspectives about God, Jesus and the Bible – both “for” and “against.”

What very few people realize is that the entire concept of religion itself is a tool for separation. The responses here are just but a small sample of a world that is polarized, divided and in disharmony. And therein manifests the greater whole of world conflict. But this is because a great many of us have an internal conflict that we have yet awakened to – which is that the self of ego has assumed the role of supremacy over the physical world and also believes that it knows without question what may exist beyond the physical world.

We extenuate the self or ego into the possibility of other dimensions. This is clearly seen in the human-like representations many religions still use in reference to gods, deities and other divine entities. None of us ultimately has any clue as to what exists in other dimensions – and this is far from being our reasons for existing as we do.

What ultimately matters irrespective of whatever religion anyone is partial to is that our true nature is to exist in harmony with our selves, all other humans, the environment and the planet itself. Cooperation instead of competition (against each other). Service to others in need rather than servicing the dysfunctional needs of self or ego importance. Honoring all other life rather than being destructive (of self). Respecting the planet instead of violating it (each other).

When humanity awakens from their internal embitterment of pain and suffering manifesting from our dysfcuntional beliefs that is actively expressed outwardly in the reality we all face each day will we seek a far deeper understanding of the human condition and our purpose here on Earth far more than can be found in any religious ideology.

  • Victor Gagnon

Well I was looking for a conversation about GOD and WOW. First of all the article is pretty much bang on Brandon, thank you well said.
We are gods all of us even those who don’t think they are. All is God. We all have an eternity to figure this one out so there is time if you like. No rush as we have all been at it for millions of years.
Jesus was not preaching in his day, he was teaching and there is quite a difference. Jesus was not a religious person by any means.
One might want to ask where did the word God come from and how come we hang onto it so tightly?
I agree that God is pure consciousness awareness and we are simply a unit of pure consciousness awareness hence we are God or one with the Father.
We also may want to consider that the word God, Death, Devil, Heaven, Good, Bad, Right and Wrong have been given to us by religions in their beliefs and it’s now a social consciousness in our world. Just pay attention to how often people or written articles say when I die or that is good or bad etc. The mind set is that there is an end to us, and that is not true. Understand that death is a dogma that reflects the many beliefs in the previous comments and of course they are not wrong. These words separate us from the Father, or the Source, or the Supreme being or quantum field however you want to put it.
Most humans thinking is so limited and so small that how can they possibly think they are God. We expand our awareness by acquiring knowledge. To experience any knowledge becomes our own truth of that knowledge and so we do not have to convince anyone about our own truth. Great Master’s do not teach they give you knowledge for you to take into your experience, religions give you dogma for control purposes by those religions.
So much more to be said on this topic and I am pleased to see so many comments because if we do not talk about this then we do not learn what we need to learn for each of us.
I enjoyed all comments and consider that everyone’s comment is right! You may want to contemplate that one.

Once again such a great article, thank you.

  • THIS IS THE GOD WITHIN US
GOD orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). GOD orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, GOD orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered.
Seems to me to be spot on (with thanks to evilbible.com)

    • maybeperfect

Suffering? God may be the only one who knows what we really want and we may always get it, whether we know whether we do or not. We may not be able to discern God’s will until it happens, if then.
As for the question of who created God, since we seem unable to possess, in and of ourselves, any absolute knowledge of any other aspect of God (or part of Himself,) what would make one presume that any group of simian counterparts hammering away at keyboards on some hypothetical blog would be able to decipher the origin and nature of eternity?
The truth of it may be closer to the idea that, by virtue of being possibly a micro-or macro-cosmic representation of some aspect of the intention of God, we may not know for sure that we do not know everything,in some way, or on some micro- or macro-cosmic level.
The principle which seems to ensure that familiarity does not breed contempt, and in the interest of preserving our apparent tendency toward humility, seems to be the idea that whatever it is that we seem to think that we know, we might also not know that thing.
Even the most severely retarded or insane person seems capable of recognizing and understanding this concept, though those claiming enhanced sanity seem to be in denial of same, probably due to fear of the unknown. They seem to cling to the claim of knowledge as if it is a life preserver, when in reality it may be the supreme stumbling block, and an anchor.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that; There may be such things as right and wrong, and if we seem to decide this way, perhaps we are supposed to, so that everything else will still be perfect if it is, and we may have been made to seem to decide as we seem to have, though any judgement about our apparent judgements’ veracity will probably remain as the exclusive domain of the infinite.
Could it be that if we cease to partake of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we will be welcome to return to be the husbandmen and women of God’s garden?
Could all of existence be an ineffable conversation God is having within Himself about how His existence will go forth into what may be eternity?
If so, I(?) sincerely wish Him the best of success in his quest, And even if I(?) am not to be included in those plans for whatever reason(s,) I still wish Him good will and If he is trying to definitively discover the answer to whether or not he exists, I hope He finds an answer He can live with forever.
      Thank You

There was never a jesus people…come on grow up. Didn’t school and life in general tell you anything or is it your parents and that smelly old guy with a collar guiding you every move? Religion spoils everything and doing good things to ensure perpetuation of a myth is indescribably stupid.

    • Benjamin Raven

Seriously? There are eyewitness accounts by secular historians like Josephus and a couple of Roman emperors. He was most definitely real.

  • Opinion is all I see in the comments. So many people clinging to their “I’s”. These are the folks at the feet of Jesus or crucifying him. The truth is in front of us all, and if we are not willing to do the work and get to the point of being able to feel it and experience it, our experience in life will always be separate from reality. Maybe this is also opinion.

  • maybeperfect

God’s probably the only one who knows anything for sure, and how would we know whether even he does or not(or we might, or at least we might not know for sure that we don’t know everything, perhaps on some, if not all levels.) We probably have no frame of reference to have consciousness of whether He even knows of His own existence, perhaps this apparent existence is an experiment whereby He may discover the fact of his own existence.
If so, I ( though I may not know if I’m even me) fervently desire that His efforts in this vein be successful, If that should be His desire, and/or necessity, in the service of the perpetuation of this apparent eternal existence, should He deem it to be desirable.
Of course, I, in and of myself, should this proposed paradigm be the truth of it, may merely be a manifestation of His will, a result of meticulous teaching and the arrangement of perfection, down to the smallest atomic particle, and/or increment of energy, and therefore, what, if anything, have “I” done (in and of myself?)
The question seems to become, at least in so far as one may be conscious of this, whether We, as humans, or whatever (whomever) we are, can be capable of truly knowing a thing.
I seem to think that Goedel may have had the right of it, that any system can be proven to be fallible (if there is such a thing as a mistake,) including supposed belief systems.
I, personally, seem to lean (can I lean?) toward the inevitable possibility that things may only be able to be as they are, and are maybe perfect, perhaps if we truly “knew” that they were, everything would cease to exist, since faith would be obviated, and the experiment would be over.
Whatever, gratitude seems inevitable, regardless of the dispensation of “our” eternal souls, our apparent individual existence,or anything else that may matter.
An infinite God might be capable of being all possible ways, in fact, can we say that there is a way of being that could not be God? Do we have a frame of reference that would tell us whether He could create a distinct world and existence for each of us, as children seem to commonly believe (and to be honest, don’t we all, in our deepest recesses?)
I may not be me, but when I seem to consider any thing, I seem to think “that may be how God is in this time and instance,” and I more often than not receive confirmation that it is so (or at least insofar as I am able to perceive it.)
Everything being maybe perfect, of course, is a double edged sword, as anything that is maybe one way might also be able to be maybe not that way (hence the maybe). For all I seem to know, God may be really P.O.’d about everything, and nothing is remotely perfect, after all we seem to hear every day that nothing’s perfect’ and that nobody’s perfect. It may be that there are things that are simply up to God to decide, and to be intellectually honest with ourselves we must yield to God’s own judgement in these matters. But, I mean, what’s the sense in being God if you can’t have things be the way you want them to be. I seem to feel grateful to have been included in whatever this is, He may not have been able to do it without me, or horrors, maybe he is stuck with me, if so, I apologize and can only plead the defense of “no good deed goes unpunished.”
    Thank You

    • Rob Parker

      …then, who created god?

  • Painfully obvious

“….an experience that you are intimately connected with God, that you are love, that you are loved, that you are unlimited, and that you are God, because that creative consciousness is within you….”

The creative consciousness is also in a dog – that doesn’t mean a dog is God. There is the potential for humans to realise their oneness with the divine energy. The trouble is – so some people may have glimpsed a tiny part of this potential – but then get on a spiritual trip trying to ‘guide’ others.

I prefer to realise and climb the mountain of my own ignorance and then humbly connect with my true essence than to star with the premise that I am ‘God’ (whatever that means) to then delude myself into thinking I’m anywhere near where I should be.

Many people in asylums also believe they are ‘God’ – but they just believe in a label for an unfathomable reality and their imaginations of what that thing is.

So, while ‘God’ is the energy that sustains my life and is my poential – I am not suffering under the delusion that I am ‘God’ (as much as my unbridled ego would love it to be so).

that is same to Kingdom of Animals or Kingdom of Birds or Kingdom of Fish or Kingdom of God.

Kingdom of God = God abode within you and outside of you as well as Kingdom within you.

BUT WHO ARE YOU? ANSWER ….You are God Right?

  • Aude Sapere

I always thought that the 2 most important statements of Jesus (that were not edited out of the bible), were “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you”, and “I and the Father are One,” by which he meant “I” as an example of all humanity. WE are ALL one with the “Father”, not just himself as an only begotten son.

  • Bradley

Everything in this article I discovered on my own, and it’s true. We are God, not gods. One being, one mind, one heart experiencing the illusion of anything but. I AM is you, is me, learning love in our souls (not our imaginary self-image) through morphic resonance in time and space.

People are waking up. The science and the knowledge of who we are, what we are, is coming. I AM coming and he is us, awakened.

    • Zi Ang Wang

Adam was the son of God, Jesus was the son of God, Jesus was God, so I learnt Adam was God.

We WERE God due to the “I AM” fact, “I AM” is the consciousness that we and God share. But technically, we weren’t one being, one mind, one heart, it is like drops separated from the ocean. SIN has cut us off from GOD, now we are just humans, filthy, shameful, sinful humans. God is holy and sacred, stop the blasphemy. The angels are watching, for God’s sake. Hurt no more of God’s pride. We are far from being God.

Jesus was also a drop from the ocean, except he was pure and sinless, that is why we call him God.

  • Wayne Pacific

I have personally experienced love within myself and all around us. I feel that we are all part of God and conected and that my essence is the same as your essence. However I am not God, but a part of God and so are you.

We are somewhat like the fingers on God’s hand in that each is distinct, but part of a whole. When I die as an individual, my essence lives on in everyone and I am eternal, but not as my very limited and flawed individual self.

This feeling of God’s love is joyful, energetic and optimistic. Everyone has this fantastic love inside of themselves and some live it, while others have it buried under their dark cloud thoughts, negative feelings and harsh judgements. I was that way myself, but I busted through my mind and got to the great cosmic love. Go for it – drop the defense and open up.

  • Antonietta Francini

    Wonderful!
But it is obvious that some humans are evolved and feel and undestand and some others are not evolved and do not experience anything!
Well, also caterpillars are not butterflies! So what???

  • Bob

To believe this theory is to reject the bible right from the start as it is stated in Genesis that GOD created the heavens , the earth, all plants , animals and then mankind. We are a created species, created by the one true God and we are in no way a god equal to our creator. This whole ‘ we are gods ‘ theory goes down the tube right from the beginning of genesis and just gets shot down even more when you proceed even just a little further and see what Satan offered to Eve if she would just partake of what was forbidden by God .
We are created beings, Jesus was the ONLY Begotten Son of the one true God, He was the second Adam , begotten from the union of God’s Logos with a human woman. Begotten Not created. Jesus was the only being that was fully God and fully man, we are not.
To believe you are God is a complete rejection of the very fact of Jesus needing to die in order to redeem you for your sins, which are disobedience to the commandments of God.

…yes, but the ‘wheels come off the wagon’ with the bibles’ and your interpretation of who ‘god’ is.

I must reply and repeat what I have already said. Jesus came in the form of man. He was the fulfilling of all beliefs and THE TRUTH to put them back on track where they should be. Read Matthew 5:17. But it makes absolutely no sense what else you said. How can so many religions and beliefs that are so contrary to one another all be right. The truth is a person. His name is Jesus. He said he was “the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to God but by me” (John 14:6. Why? Because he was trying to start another religion? No, because he was who he said he was. He was not just another enlightened man, to make such a statement as he did he was either who he said he was or a lunatic. I have studied many belief systems and I am convinced that Jesus is who he said he is and I have experienced this on a relational level. Im not blinded by religion I hate religion. Jesus came to open the door to relationship with him.Not to make US gods but to be in relationship with our creator/God.

        • Daya Das

Why is it that I am slowly coming into agreement with what you have stated? But what resonates is not the historical Jesus except that of the transfiguration and resurrection. In the first incident he is consulting with two figures who have never died. Well, Moses dies but his burial site was never disclosed while Elijah ascended in a fiery chariot. And in the resurrection Jesus transcends his mortality and offers us hope.

The writer asks when people will realize that they have God within. The answer to that question for most people, but not all, is shortly after ingesting some psychedelic substance. However, that method is just a glimpse which quickly fades from view and memory. Other methods entail years of meditation and study with a good teacher, who are hard to find these days. First, you have to master the art of TUMO, so that you don’t have to be bothered with being a householder. You have to be willing to give all earthly things up, and follow Jesus. Like he said to his apostles. It took Jesus from age 12 to age 30 to become “enlightened” enough to speak truth to power.

God is with in you is translated as you are part of the Divine. Yes we are all part of the Divine and even Sumeria new this! Enki, Krishna doesn’t matter.
Centering yourself with earth and the energies of the universe you open yourself up to higher form of consciousness.

God is not something to start wars, to argue beliefs, or to think there is some man looking down ready to punish you.

There is much esoteric Knowledge in the old bible and there are many books that are not included. One Person that is an expert on the subject is Jordan Maxwell.

Imagine if all people all cultures realized they were part of the Divine. There was no Monotheistic Religion that creates rules and says it’s better then someone else’s religion. What harmonic Energies would people be able to tap into, what potential would they have.

No religious belief should be used for negative energy, wars, hate, etc. Look with in not out.

One could say that the light is in you and we are all of the light. The Light is Horus, the Light is Jesus, the Light is Buddha, the Light is Enki, The light is the SUN, the Sun of Sun.

    • Benjamin Raven

I agree with what you said when you said: “God is not something to start wars, to argue beliefs, or to think there is some man looking down ready to punish you.” And many religions have done just that. God never meant for man to create some image of him and that includes religion. That is why Jesus came in the form of man. He was the fulfilling of all beliefs and THE TRUTH to put them back on track where they should be. Read Matthew 5:17. But it makes absolutely no sense what else you said. Hi,

God has revealed himself to us. He is three persons in one being. He reminds us that his ways are higher than our ways.

When Jesus said, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?” he was referring to Psalm 82:6, in which God addressed the very mortal although powerful judges of Israel who, because of their high office, were entitled to be called “gods.” The next verse of the psalm keeps this in perspective: “nevertheless, you shall die like men, and fall like any prince” (Ps. 82:7).

    • Rob Parker

…the ‘Triune God’ is a Nicaean Council dogmatic and egoistic contrivance– sorry, we know this is hard for you.

      • Benjamin Raven

It is not just some Nicaean contrivance. It is throughout the scriptures. But I guess your response to that would be the scriptures are all wrong and Catholic contrived. So where does that leave you? Oh yeah with any sheister that comes along who claims to be enlightened and tells you something appealing like the person who wrote this article.

        • Afshin Nejat

          “It is throughout the scriptures”
          It is “throughout the scriptures”

          First one is arbitrary claim
Second emphasis points out the insignificance of the claim, even if true

      • Bob

        The concept of God being triune was put forth by Jesus Himself in the following passage ;
        Matthew 28:19
” Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

Using the ploy of stating that the Council of Nicea made up this or that has become the favorite tactic of Jews, Moslems and atheists who use this tactic full well knowing that most people have no idea of what was or was not done by the council of Nicea .

        • Rene’Descartes

The council of Nicea 553AD made Jesus into one substance with God, it had nothing whatsoever to do with the trinity.
The trinity was a 9th century construct that split the church into the eastern orthodox and catholic. the Eastern still confess to the fact that God is One, not three

if you’re interested in the Book of Matthew, then i recommend researching the Talmud of Jmmanuel (there’s a detailed verse-by-verse comparison of this document to the Book of Matthew online by Dr. James Deerdorf). Then, i would follow up that research by reading Apollonius of Tyana. It’s a very slow read, but it’s a fascinating book. Good luck.

    • Martin

      Shut up you idiot.

      • Daniel tremblay

Agreed Martin. But doesn’t the Bible say this about these very things… in the days of the end! Luckily & wisely I only read a small amount to get the jest of the argument.

    • Dr Alan O

Good one Ram. We always appreciate having the Muggles share their ignorance. But don’t fret in another hundred lifetimes you too will know the truth.

      • Pseudo-Nemo

Ram’s delivery may not be polished, but his points are valid, this doctrine and concept comes from gnosticism/kabalah, Christ never taught such. Note that this “knowledge” didn’t help anyone when it was first passed off to the people, it has not helped anyone in over two millenniums since that time, either.

To Elaborate the whole concept of “pieces of god experiencing the universe” doctrine is found rooted in gnosticism and kabalah, two systems of ignorance concocted by whatever name you want to give to negative or evil entities. Consider who, in the past, has embraced this idea.

As to similarities in different religions, if one researches further, they’ll find that it will point to two factors in the distant past: an original belief which was later discarded by people, usually ascribed to their creator/deity being “aloof”, which was their misunderstanding of their own problems in communicating properly, followed by a belief built on deceptions which was then accepted and perpetuated. This deceptive belief wouldn’t have fared well with the people if it didn’t somewhat resemble the first belief system initially, just with twists and corruptions of the original, with more deceptions stacked on top of each other as time went on, the “people are pieces of god” doctrine is part of the latter one built on deception… What better name to call deceit than wisdom? What better way to disguise the lie than by labeling it hidden or special wisdom, which will evoke people’s curiosity, and lure them?

Now you need to ask yourselves “who benefits from this?” mankind doesn’t benefit, as obviously no “fruit” is produced, there is no actual profit in this would-be dogma of “gnosis”. The “negative” etc. would seem to have benefit however, because if one believes that they are god (or a piece thereof), as the above article posits, why should they feel a need to progress? If the people are convinced of this farce, not only will they cease to progress themselves, but they will start to go the other way (what is the opposite of progress?). Misery loves company, and if those who are “negative” and miserable want company they will have to deceive others into joining their miserable state. This is how the “negative” would benefit from this, by increasing their own numbers.

It might be uncomfortable, and might be a pain, but I would encourage anyone, including the author of the above article, to discard this farce, and start making progress again, just because someone goes down the wrong path for a while doesn’t mean they can’t backtrack and eventually find the correct path. To aid in that, here are a few suggestions: Never accept any self-glorifying concept as legitimate, regardless of how it is worded, mankind is only mankind, and there is nothing wrong with that, always question everything told to you whether it be by an “ascended master”/being of light/darkness/etc., or a guru etc. and always treat others as you would have yourself be treated, Love doesn’t always involve fluffy feelings, sometimes it involves correction as well, finally, don’t consider correction offered as an attack.

        • Victor Gagnon

          So Pseudo Nemo.
I think you may be missing the point but that is only my opinion.
The article is simply one persons opinion also but in your reply about the author it would appear that you are making him wrong and that you know better. The only reason I am responding to you is to try to point out an obvious and its certainly obvious in your reply. In your words “don’t consider correction offered as an attach” I do not offer a correction but what I do offer is an observation according your reply. In my world you can believe in whatever you want and your belief is true and I would never try to change it.
You say in part “What better way to disguise the lie”
The word Truth is like the word God not many actually few have any idea what the word really means. The reason for that might be that the word God becomes one’s own interpretation. Thousands of religions and thousands of interpretations. (The present situation is lets kill each other and prove each other wrong.) Now is that not wonderful! You get to interpret God in your life so God in someone else’s life will or might even be different. So it comes down to understanding that we all have an opinion about what we think we know about God or truth. Hence, each one of us, every human being has their definition of God and why not. If one believes in God than how can anyone say that their believe is a right or wrong or is it simply ignorance. Sound familiar in our world today. If we think we are human (another topic) than how can we think in any other way but as a humans. Is God not created in your/our/ image. So God must be human because only humans define God. If you have read most of the replies you will see including yourself and my self that everyone has a different opinion on what or who God is. So I ask you why can’t you simply allow that?
When we can we start to allow each other to have an opinion on something and stop, and I mean stop making each other wrong, the world will change. If I make you wrong, what happens, what emotion comes from making your wrong for I am quite sure you will take this reply as a make wrong and try to point the finger at me. Sound familiar in our world.
In the big picture, don’t you think we should accept each other for who we are and for who we are not.
          Just another man’s opinion.
          Love yourself into life

        • Kendal

Wait, what? Nobody benefits? So confused. I have benefited more, and more quickly, from interpreting Jesus’ teachings in this way than I ever did in nearly 30 years of growing up with the standard church teachings. And through my benefiting, I know others are benefiting from the change in my outlook. It was like being given the key to the truth. Unlocking another level in this game, moving forward when I thought there was nowhere to go. I used to wonder where God was, why he was silent, what Jesus actually did for my life…. and now I know.

Jesus was baptized and jews do’nt get baptized

    • Benjamin Raven

Simple reason why the word baptism isn’t in the OT: it’s a Greek word. “Washing”, on the other hand, is in the OT all over the place… Ritual cleansing was a common part of some Jewish sects around the turn of the era. One of the best examples of this (that I know of) comes from Khirbet Qumran (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found)—where there were found several miqvot (sn. miqveh) used for a sort of “baptism.” It is commonly held that the people living at Qumran were Essenes, and some have speculated that John the Baptist may have been a part of this group or one similar to it.

The Qumran community began slightly before the turn of the age and continued into the early 1st century CE, so it was roughly contemporaneous with Jesus.

I think that you are essentially correct. From a Buddhist point of view my mind is stainless like a piece of gold. Unfortunately I do not realize this completely. This ‘I’ that I grasp so tightly to is a creation from my ignorance. I behave selfishly because of this ignorance and truly believe that my own happiness is more important than the happiness of billions upon billions of living beings in this world. (The death of a stranger is no big deal but if I’m going to die I will cry bitter tears. We don’t get it.) I need to train my mind, in a way that suits me. I must ‘practice’ compassion for example because in my servitude to my Ego I have caused much suffering. Buddha and Jesus had to practice for countless lifetimes before they finally realized the true nature of all living beings. They lived effortlessly once they realized ultimately reality but it took a lot of effort to get to that effortless state.

Until someone thoroughly realizes ultimate reality and not a shred of ignorance remains, they might simply inflate these self created Ego’s with even more delusion.

    • Carl

I agree, though there is truth that God is in all of us, this is only manifest when we have extinguished the fires caused by our ego. As long as those fires are still raging, any thoughts as to our own Godhood, and we become separate, see satan…

      • Terry Allen

We all can become God’s and Goddesses. We must reach exaltation first. Our church teaches this.

The dark energy that all scientists talk about and trying to understand is the unconditional pure loving thought from the God’s and Goddesses. That creates a type of longitudel wave energy that creates all things. Remember, in the passage of what Jesus, says, love is the greatest of all these commandments.

    • Ronald

      Hi Marty,

Every considered the possibility that the so called ego is put in place – ‘installed’ – by God Himself? (or, by You, if you are God) I keep reading this stuff about how we really are God, but somehow we ‘forgot’ about that and now we’re searching for the way back to whom we really are… Oh my God… You think that God could possibly forget somehow that He’s God? Some kind of God-Parkinson or God-dementia? If I was God (which I am), I would love to get born on planet earth over and over again and experience life in endless ways (or at least, ’till I get bored with it, after which I would just come up with another fun idea). But hey, that’s just Me 🙂

      Bless God
