Fluoride Toxicity No Longer a ‘Conspiracy Theory’

It’s often amazing how many people still view the dangers posed to health from fluoride in the water supply as nothing more than a “conspiracy theory” – dismissed as a notion unsupported by any solid evidence, they demand peer reviewed studies before even contemplating the veracity of the claim. Anything else, they say, is unsupported pseudoscience. It probably doesn’t help matters that Wikipedia – that hugely flawed yet oft cited source of information on the internet which so many tend to appeal to – peddles misinformation which clearly creates a misconception as to the adverse effects. Its page discussing fluoride toxicity is revealing, stating that “the only generally accepted adverse effect of fluoride at levels used for water fluoridation is dental fluorosis, which can alter the appearance of children’s teeth during tooth development; this is mostly mild and usually only an aesthetic concern.”

With a sizable number of people satisfied with this unfounded reassurance, little further research is conducted, reflecting the lazy manner in which some people are willing to take things at face value, regardless of the high stakes. After all, if they were to take the issue seriously enough to thoroughly check the evidence for themselves they would find themselves dragged kicking and screaming from their comfort zones, forced to question the veracity of widely held “truths” built on lies and deceptions.

Of course, mainstream studies outlining the deleterious effects of fluoride are commonplace – in 2006 the National Research Council released a 500 page review, which took 12 scientists over three years to produce and described in great detail why EPA’s purportedly “safe” drinking water standard (4 ppm) needs to be reduced in order to protect human health. The report documents myriad potential hazards from fluoride exposure, including damage to the bones, brain, and various glands of the endocrine system. According to Dr. Bob Carton, a former risk-assessment scientist at EPA, this report “should be the center piece of every discussion on fluoridation. It changes everything.”

More recently a Harvard study funded by the National Institutes of Health confirmed that fluoride lowers the IQ of children. The adverse effects of high concentration of fluoride in the water supply – a researcher summarized the the report from Environmental Health Perspectives, stating, “we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of published studies on increased fluoride exposure in drinking water and neuro-developmental delays. We specifically targeted studies carried out in rural China that have not been widely disseminated, thus complementing the studies that have been included in previous reviews and risk assessment reports. Findings from our meta-analyses of 27 studies published over 22 years suggest an inverse association between high fluoride exposure and children’s intelligence. The results suggest that fluoride may be a developmental neuro-toxicant that affects brain development at exposures much below those that can cause toxicity in adults.”

Given the wealth of other studies which have drawn similar conclusions, it’s perhaps remarkable that this hasn’t been fully accepted in the scientific community and, by extension, the general population at large. Additional studies have found that other negative effects of flouride on the human brain include:

• Reduction in nicotinic acetylcholine receptors
• Damage to your hippocampus
• Formation of beta-amyloid plaques (the classic brain abnormality in Alzheimer’s disease)
• Reduction in lipid content
• Damage to purkinje cells
• Exacerbation of lesions induced by iodine deficiency
• Impaired antioxidant defense systems
• Increased uptake of aluminum
• Accumulation of fluoride in your pineal gland

In March 2014, the journal Lancet Neurology compared fluoride to lead, arsenic, methyl mercury and other chemical toxins, and reclassified it as a developmental neurotoxin. Adding to the above list of detrimental effects of fluoride, the report explained how neurotoxins can cause widespread brain disorders such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, and other cognitive impairments.

It may currently appear like only a ‘fringe’ section of the populous is against fluoride (and clearly the lack of mainstream media coverage has a great deal to do with this misconception), but a sizable scientific community exists fighting to have it removed. An increasingly informed number of communities are also fighting to have it removed completely from their drinking water. Perhaps, with the release of the Lancet report, the “conspiracy theory” response to those pointing out the dangers of water fluoridation can finally be dropped and a concerted movement to end the poisoning of our water supplies will take root and flourish.

Well Bill, why doesn’t your beloved gov respond and put the queries of those suffering mental trauma over this to rest..plain and simple. Its obvious there is no benefit drinking it, why use it? The gov admits it may benefit kiddies first teeth, why not formulate fluoride toothpaste for children under 12, that way the children whom it may benefit, benefit. The gov wont admit it detrimental for adultolescence to old age, but admit there is no benefit so why spend millions each year forcing medication unnecessary. Its not a charitable cause, it costs the taxpayer, do you know who benefits apart from kids. Does your dr prescribe medication without guidelines to use, no an exact dose each day till symptoms desist.
Bill you obviously know the truth with the understanding, show some kindness to the deluded dimwit and explain why your beloved gov forces this medication on its people and explain with clarity your understanding of why it must be forced on us against our consent

    • bill_christian

Did you read my link? I repeat: strongly anti-fluoride people are dimwits. Obama is NOT forcing medication down our throats. He and thousands of intelligent people are trying to make life better with small cost-effective measures like seat belts, iodine in salt, smoke detectors, vaccines, yearly health check-ups of children, etc, etc, etc. Please do not automatically believe crazy paranoid untrue things on the web.

  • Lagnik Demmahom

Ok lets assume the worst, every single member of Gov is corrupt, and every single being with a brain is conspiring with them, dr lawyer dentist etc
    1. There not one honest man to blow the trumpet, or even a greedy Judass to betray the plan. What would you do if you had half a brain and knew what was going on., then do it, go out and save the world, cause no one else is,.
Whats easier to believe the whole world is conspiring to make you stupid, or is it possible you have a mental disorder with accompanying delusional lapses,.
    2. Do you think your oppressors are that stupid that they would contaminate their own water supply and environment
Where were you when Hitler was murdering the jews
where were you when Garvey was trying to free black america
the killing pits of Cambodia, what about the Aussie aboriginal
You new age fruit loops need be concerned about starving your brains via a forced vegan diet that your religion deems mandatory, in reality it has severed your emotions from your brain and heart. It has killed your penal gland whatever you want that to be, its certainly not a spiritual awareness when vanity and stupidity replace humility and wisdom
Our water is fluoridated because its what we want, personally i would vote against it, why don’t you
    google the surgeon generals perspective

  • bill_christian

You are a hateful squint-eyed dimwit. I hope you muddle your way through life without causing too much harm to decent people, and I SURE hope you don’t replicate yourself by having dimwitted hateful squint-eyed children.

Face the reality. There are barely any doctors in the world today. All the “Doc Bakers” are dead and gone. We cannot trust the marionettes that have infested the huge medical business. Sellouts. Dentists have been pushing toothpaste on us for many years. And many still say its good. I was raised to be a “Crest Kid”. And never could avoid having yellow teeth and plaque buildup that wouldnt stay away. How did I solve it? Had to run to the dentist often. Even had teeth pulled because of cavities. They said I was just prone to them. LIARS.

Years later I learned a thing or two. That the mouth was intended to have a slightly alkaline pH. Between acidic foods and toothpaste, your mouth is an acid bath 24/7. NO WONDER!!

So I threw away the toothpaste and began simply dipping my toothbrush in baking soda once a day to brush. PROBLEM SOLVED!! That was 3 years ago. My teeth stay white, smooth, and clean. No buildup. No cavities. No problems whatsoever. The same goes for my wife and 3 kids.

This is not only living proof that toothpaste is bad. But its a wake up call to the fact that doctors are the biggest enemies we have in this world. Sellout liars that would throw you under a bus for profit. Do yourself a favor. Grow your own food. Be your own doctor. Take care of yourself. Because Doctors are hellbent on using your body to make as much money as possible. And in the end, they will give you cancer to suck a fortune out right before you go to the grave.

“More recently a Harvard study funded by the National Institutes of Health confirmed that fluoride lowers the IQ of children.” Please can you publish this study.

    • bill_christian

No, because it is a shallow lie, believed by dimwits.

  • FarLeft Ideology

How stupid are you people? How much of a fear mongering life must you live in? Where are all your PHD credentials that show your expertise on the subject? It must suck to always be looking for some sort of excuse of how your life sucks and blame it on the government mind-controlling everyone. Don’t you wake up every morning and do whatever the heck you want in this country? Get a life people, stop looking for excuses to not live. You could die in a car accident, on your job, at school, or anywhere else before fluoride will even remotely do any harm to your mind or body.

    • Joe JM

Typical coward. You are the play it safe guy living in a smug lifestyle. Probably have your own social crowd you hang with. Well while youre sitting on your rump ignoring reality that is outside your bubble. The rest of us are facing the tyrannical conspiracy that has been surrounding us for well over 100 years. The whole medical industry is a weapon against us all. We can do better. Much better. And we WILL do better. I will devote my life to making it happen. When you look in a phone book and see 10000 doctors and lawyers in the same town, you know its a scam. A bunch of lying no good sharks.

      • Lagnik Demmahom

when will you devote your life to the cause?
how will you make it happen?
whats 10000 liars got to do with anything

      • Lagnik Demmahom

the conspiracy is 50yr old, obviously if its as dangerous as you suggest it would no longer be put in the water. You are obviously being played, they are making you the fool, not to mention when theorists rely and revamp disproven claims, their intentions become clear

    • Lagnik Demmahom

have you ever known the gov go out of its way for anyone, gov told us4years smoking tobacco is harmeless and hemp is lethal, as a result people suffered and died, only criminals and corrupt politician benefit worldwide on the ridiculous war against drugs, they withhold cheap but lifesaving medicine for profit. Obviously you are a phd, for most living under your tyranny a car accident is an escape if they die and further hardship if they live, fear mongers, you would be to if you lived under the tyranny that most on earth must endure, have some compassion you heartless bully. Uneducation and starvation is fixed, do you benefit?

      • bill_christian

GOV told us 4 year olds smoking tobacco is harmless? What planet are you from? The big tobacco companies told us that in paid ads for many years until the GOVMINT cracked down on them, stopped them from doing it, and put a nice big tax on tobacco which has very greatly cut smoking and saved MILLIONS of lives. Gov is not always bad. It is mostly good. Not 100% of COURSE, what is, your mother?

Fluoride Toxicity No Longer a ‘Conspiracy Theory’

Which is why you have to come read about it on Waking Times! LOL!

    • bill_christian

Waking Times – the reassurance for dimwits. The anti-flouride movement has never been rational, and has gradually morphed from a method to recruit naive people to the far-right anti-communist movement of the 1950, into a method to recruit naieve people to the far-out anti-government movement of today, both for the far left and far right. Our government does a lot of bad things but we elect them and they do a lot or GOOD things too and we should just keep improving (which we definitely are) and we should not be forming terrorist cells to overthow it, and we should not think that there is even a grain of truth to the anti-fluoride conspiracy theory. Sometimes I wish we had a grown-up to shake people. Yes, sodiium fluoride is a nerve toxin. But that has nothing to do with fluoridated water. Chlorine gas blinded and killed thousands in WWI and we eat it every day in salt. Big dog crap. Science is truth. But scientific words can say all kinds of nonesense. You can find a few “experts” who will tell you anything imaginable. Just look at the dog crap ads on this site. I will sell you peneal detoxification pills. Gerbil poop. They work at least as well as the ones from the Iboga Wellness And Taking Money From Gullible People Center. They also do Matrix Deprogramming. Try that too. I bet it makes you really smart and maybe they won’t charge you any money 🙂 .

      • wakingtimes

        Right, Bill.

        • bill_christian

I’m guessing that you did the Matrix Deprogramming advertised on your site and it has made you reel smart.

  • Taylor

SUPERB!!! It’s totally disingenuous that there should even continue to be a debate on this subject. Fluoridation of water has been as discredited scientifically as was lead in paint and gasoline in the late 70s. The fact that fluoride in water persists demonstrates the extent of mainstream propaganda, intellectual laziness, and gross ignorance on the part of those who should know better as well as the public at large.

In addition to the complete knock-out scientific discrediting of the notion that “fluoride is a nutrient and is good for you” is the fact that concomitantly there exists a very insidious political, economic, and historical history to industrial fluoride and ultimately water fluoridation. To learn the nitty-gritty detail about the political, economic, and historical underlings concerning this topic, I cannot more highly recommend Christopher Bryson’s spectacular book, “The Fluoride Deception”.

    • Lagnik Demmahom

You would be taken seriously if you were more than a reed tossed to and fro in the wind, petrol, they deleaded it for you, you changed sides and it remains another conspiracy theory, whats the truth why are you there?

  • Dave

I have been using a Propur for a few months now. I got it from the Infowars website and it is 4.75 gallons. Takes about 4 hours to make a batch and you can download the lab tests. The report lists hundreds of chemicals (including caffeine/ibuprofen) which they tested and it removed almost 100% of all of them. The water is brilliant to drink and you can take it camping as it doesn’t require a power input.

  • The fact that fluoride was used by the Nazis in their camps should be enough. Oh, and there’s the matter of that pesky poison warning label on the toothpaste we use as well. People do so fear being dragged out of their comfort zones that living in denial is preferable. But, if we do not wake up, there will be no more comfort zones….,ever.

    • Lagnik Demmahom

why do you vegan always use spooky scare tactics to to force your unwarranted delusions on the people, or guilt baseless unwarranted lies so we feel guilty, you’d do anything to convert and if you he she is either 7times the devil U R or worse he is lost 4ever or institutionalized

  • Juan Miguel

Excellent Article!..However, you talk about all the inherent dangers of flouride but you dont give a Solution to the fact that if drinking wáter that we found everywhere has flouride, what are the alternatives? how can i drink wáter that does not have flouride? where can i find flouride free wáter??

    • Rob Parker

…a Brita water filter should do the trick, as long as the filter contains ‘activated charcoal’ to remove the chemicals like chlorine and fluoride … you can get one at your local Walmart (not that I endorse Walmart).

      • Solange

Sorry, but Brita does NOT remove fluoride or chlorine or pharmaceuticals from the water. Your best bet is bottled spring water, better yet, alkaline water for drinking but not for cooking. Recycle the bottles, please. The down side is that we absorb fluoride through the largest organ of our body, our skin, while we bathe, and household systems to remove it are expensive. You can also purchase a machine that attaches to the sink and removes all poisons. The best one I have found is made by Beyond Oxygen. It tastes delicious.

        • bill_christian

Your best bet is the top quality fluoridated water straight from the tap. Bottled water has been sitting in a container made of materials that are very much more of a concern than fluoride. Using bottled water instead of tapwater is for fools. Tapwater is better in most cases. Corporations earn so much due to our ignorance.

    • Anonymous

Go to healthmasters.com they have excellent distillers at a great price.
It takes out everything including fluoride
Use a pinch of baking soda to raise the ph a bit
I have been using it for thirty years
      There number is 8007261834

    • FarLeft Ideology

Yes, fluoride is present in ALL drinking water…even bottled water. Don’t listen to these fools with a far left ideology that live in a world of fear. Fluoride will not alter your mind, or give you cancer. The effect that any amount of normal fluoride (in water, toothpaste) will have…will never give you any life threatening conditions or alter your mind. Please present your OWN PHD on the subject for proof that any of you ever did your own years of research on the subject…rather than listening to a bunch of internet crap to get your info.

      • tom wu

@FarLeftIdeology. Obviously a watcher of FOX “News” and personal body guard to Bill O’Reilly who claims that the “normal amount” of fluoride in toothpaste and water carries no adverse health effects. Failing to cite any footnote or provide any evidence of his/her own claim, he/she proceeds to ask others to produce their own PhD level research rather than listening to a “bunch of internet crap”.

There is a growing list of worldwide communities that are banning the use of fluoride in water second to dubious claims of any benefit. In the United States, when it comes to money, we are usually the LAST to make common sense decisions that might hurt a corporation’s bottom line. In ANY other industrialized country, the debate between having and not having universal health care doesn’t exist. In any other country, a debate on whether to limit the scope of the EPA in the name of protecting the corporate interests wouldn’t happen like it does here. Common sense would dictate that if most of the Eurozone has eliminated fluoride from their water supplies as far back as 1973 and have not seen an increase in cavities, that maybe… just maybe, we might have the same results.

Putting things in water that didnt exist when humans first came onto the scene should beg the question why it needs to happen now. Cavities? Lets ask people in Europe since 1973 of their teeth are decaying.
