People seem to discount this and concentrate on the one day of meditation? Seems to me that dressing in rags, sleeping in the woods, begging for food, exposing yourself to heat and cold, what is called willful suffering I think must have played a huge roll in his awakening. Some people that describe themselves as Buddhists talk about seeking, finding and losing enlightenment. How can one seek, find or lose something timeless and formless. It would be like picking water up with a spoon, or so I am told. kim This is a very intellectual and interesting discussion of Ascension and maya, but you all must understand that humans created this philosophy. The animals are still living much the same as we do because of our heritage of fighting, survival, and reproduction. At some point you have to scratch your head and ask questions about this whole ascension process. It may be a delusion of our own mind. The drama, stress, and supposed chaos that humans are supposedly living in is pretty much limited to the human plane. The animals don’t care about global warming, whether or not they have enough money, or stressing themselves out with too many commitments. They just remain content to live and deal with things as they come along like they always have since the dawn of existence. I initially bought into all this ascension and 5d stuff but then I started to wonder about this concept and decided that it was a human related creation to explain why all of us are experiencing so much change so fast. I just remind myself about how the animals live and not get caught up in the human drama that IS an illusion. Your ordinariness and his ordinariness are poles apart – but both are ordinariness, and the danger is that you will misunderstand. He has come back home. You have not even started the journey. It is almost like meeting someone on a staircase – you are both standing on the same step; one is going, one is coming. Both are on the same step – in a way equal – but one is going up, one is going down. Hence, they are not equal; their equality is illusory. Osho – Beyond Enlightenment Chris I can attest to the truth of this statement. I had a Kundalini awakening experience in December 2012. It was very similar to the Kundalini enlightenment that Gopi Krishna describes in his books and it has been building up for several years prior to that. The timing was exactly right, not just in terms of world vibrational changes, but also in terms of my own life, as I was 33 at the time, the typical age for a Kundalini awakening. Like Gopi Krishna, I practiced meditation without a master, for many years prior to that. I suffered some of the same side effects afterwards that he himself describes, many of which were extremely unpleasant, although they did dissipate and go away after a year or two. As a side note, I believe a Kundalini Awakening is not the same as the enlightenment of the Buddha, it is probably just the first step towards it. frank hrbolich its not so easy as you might think. it takes a lot of effort and concentration under a realized master. frank hrbolich i forgot to add: with the use of the proper technique Tim Yes, good article. The ‘Dream of Brahma’ type analogy for the Universe is a compelling one. It’s all pretty obvious when you consider that there is only God. God being the only real thing, and everything else illusion. Therefore we must be God, just dreaming about not being God. I think the personal physical ascension is essential – as Jesus, Enoch, Elijah, & probably many others too, have demonstrated. It’s a paradox, but the whole Universe is a paradox… I don’t agree with this theory, it’s a dualistic idea: “Oneness had no perspective from which to ‘see itself’ and was thus oblivious to its true nature.” This assumes that God has limits, i.e. can’t see itself, which is a bit silly. I would tend to go with the Gnostic ‘mistake’ hypothesis: Basically – if you’re a god (a child of God), what you think becomes reality – as you think it… So, if a god wondered what it would be like to make something without it’s Dad (the most high) God – then you’d end up with the Universe – which is the opposite of God. So the Universe was created by the mistaken idea of a child of the most high God. http://veritopian.blogspot.com/2014/06/the-origin-of-universe-as-holographic.html Matt Presti Nice article…especially about being…Point of order…you wrote – “In meditation, we can investigate these sensations and discover that within the experience of apparent solidity is a “vibration” of Awareness – characterized by luminosity, formlessness, expansiveness, timelessness and a state of Omnipresent Being. This Pure Formless Awareness underlies all material forms and all worldly experiences.” In the true “experience” there is no vibration (anything which vibrates is illusion itself). The Fulcrum does not move as the Creator (our source) is motionless, undivided, sexless, formless, timeless and always at rest. Stillness and silence is the “prime condition” of the Universal Mind which this “being” in meditation brings us awareness of (this is why science cannot locate the Creator because it uses instruments that only measure electric motion–stillness can only be “known” not “sensed” or measured empirically). This is fundamental to understanding our place in the vibrating cosmic light cinema of illusion (anything vibrating therefor is not real). Our soul is an extension of the Universal One’s Soul (The Creator’s Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent Still Magnetic Light) which centers and bounds all electric motions in this temporal electric universe of illusion. If it is vibrating or in motion, it is not real. http://www.thesecretoflight.com for more.
