The Online Seed Saving Handbook

Here is a great resource for learning to save seeds and maintaining your collection. Seeds are life, and with the assault on our food system growing stronger day by day, it is more important than ever that individuals take on the responsibility of preserving nature’s most critical information. Perhaps use this information to keep a personal garden, or how about starting a neighborhood or community seed bank in your town by visiting neighbors who grow, and showing those that don’t don’t how to?

Kony 2012 (Video)

An important expose one of Africa’s most twisted rebels, and his impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands. As important, this documentary shows us how modern, conscious people can use their creativity, kindness and talent to create avenues for positive change in this suffering world.

Native American Indian Traditional Code of Ethics

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, give thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person.

Body Consciousness

‘Body consciousness’ is one of the most important topics that can be understood on one’s road to healing. Becoming aware of what kind of relationship you have created with your body is a fundamental key for change. Learning to tune into your inner dialogue offers you space to change.

Ayahuasca: What the Spirits Want

We cannot just go to the spirits and expect them to give us what we want. They may well have other plans for us. In fact, rather than asking — or, as some people do, demanding — that they heal us, or transform us, or make us into someone else, we should just pour out our hearts to them in prayer. We should not go to them with requests or demands or even expectations.

Kaliyuga Here Now? The Real “Dark Age”

When such values are systematically sabotaged, then you can say that the dawn of the doomsday has begun. When we look at a harmless beggar as a pest and envy billionaires who routinely destroy the earth, we are inviting doomsday to come.

How To Become An American Extremist In Style!

While the possibilities of the future seemed boundless, few of us, including myself, ever considered “political extremism” as a viable lifestyle decision. Astronaut? Maybe. Filmmaker? Sure. Enemy Belligerent? Not so much….

Peace Through Letting Go

We can have fun and play with the experience of needing things, there’s nothing wrong with it as it is a beautiful experience to grow from and learn from, but do the stories run our life? Are we trapped in always needing something to feel good? This is what we need to ask and observe.

So Broke We Can’t Pay Attention

So today, let’s each take some time to concentrate on positive things like love, laughter, and joy — if even for a few quiet minutes. Let a genuine smile overtake you. Beam those feelings of love and joy to the people around you. If you think it’s hokey, just do it as a calculated experiment to see how it affects your day.

Call To Action: Australian Mental Health Bill Severly Endangers Children and Parental Rights

Following the call by ethicists for after-birth abortions and the press explosion surrounding the ‘Euthanasia Coaster‘, new legislation from Australia is now paving the way for children of any age to consent to sterilization — without parental consent. That’s right, if a psychiatrist determines that a child under the age of 18 years is ‘sufficiently mature’, they will be sterilized without any say from the parents. Again, there is no age minimum, as long as they are ‘mature‘ enough.

The Only Direct (True) Democracy in the World

Even if you live in a non-direct democracy or even in a dictatorship, you can start taking pride in your own country by doing your part. Start with recycling, preserving water, buy organic and support your local farmer, read the ingredients on the food you buy; only buy products that are made in the country where you live, support your local economy, support your local mom and pops shops instead of the big chains, whenever you can – do whatever it takes to take pride in where you live.

Organic Farmers vs. Monsanto: Update, Petition Comments & What’s Next

Last week we posted an open (hearted) letter to the farmers and seed growers who were part of the group (OSGTA) that sued Monsanto. As many of you know, Monsanto has garnered quite the reputation for bullying small organic farmers, filing suit against them, litigating them to no end, and bankrupting them. Witnessing this for years, the organic and commercial seed farms, co-ops and farming groups did not want to be next.

You’ve Felt It Your Entire Life (Video)

“Try yourself, it’s not that scary. Try being who you truly are, instead of being a reflection of what society wants you to be.”

The matrix has you.

Carl Sagan and Cannabis

It all began about ten years ago. I had reached a considerably more relaxed period in my life – a time when I had come to feel that there was more to living than science, a time of awakening of my social consciousness and amiability, a time when I was open to new experiences. I had become friendly with a group of people who occasionally smoked cannabis, irregularly, but with evident pleasure.

Ayahuasca – The Vine of the Soul

Most people who experience Ayahuasca report some sort of spiritual experience. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to describe the spiritual effects due to the lack of spirit in our language. Western culture is simply ignorant of the science of spirit that is still practiced today in the Amazon Rainforest.

Hearts Have Their Own Brain and Consciousness

Research in the new discipline of neurocardiology shows that the heart is a sensory organ and a sophisticated center for receiving and processing information. The nervous system within the heart (or “heart brain”) enables it to learn, remember, and make functional decisions independent of the brain’s cerebral cortex. Moreover, numerous experiments have demonstrated that the signals the heart continuously sends to the brain influence the function of higher brain centers involved in perception, cognition, and emotional processing.

From The Battlefield to Basil: Organic Farm A Haven for Vets

For this level of sacrifice and service, we claim to honor our veterans with a national holiday each November, but the reality is homelessness, unemployment, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), drug addiction and depression plague our nation’s defenders and truest patriots far more frequently than we acknowledge. Ex-Marine Sergeant Colin Archipley and his wife hope to change that… with organic farming.

No, thanks!
