Tao te Ching – The Nature of Polarity

To the traditional way of Chinese thinking this is as incomprehensible as an electric, current without both positive and negative poles, for polarity is the principle that + and north and south, are different aspects of one and the same system, and that the disappearance of either one of them would be the disappearance of the system.

15 Things You Should Give Up To Be Happy

Here is a list of 15 things which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering – and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free and happy – we cling on to them. Not anymore.

Using Your Thoughts to Better Your Reality

When you understand that all we’re seeing around us is a reflection of worldwide consciousness and what we’ve created and have allowed to be done to us, we start to see that elevating human consciousness is really our solution out of this mess. Because when millions of people around the world are radiating love energy at core level, we simply won’t see all of the problems that we currently do. Most people currently radiate some level of fear.

Transforming Militaristic Inertia Into Real-World Courage

Z, Contributing Writer
Waking Times

For any action to count as courageous it must first come from an understanding that the current situation has changed so drastically that the requirements for courage must change along with it.

The Simple Truth – Eckhart Tolle (Video)

The inspiring Eckhart Tolle talks about his personal transformation and his rather instant shift that has since left him with a lasting inner peace which is the object of many spiritual teachings. Eckhart believes that aliveness, peace and a sense of inner fulfillment is already present within all of us, we just need to learn how to unlock it and live from moment to moment with awareness of this gift.

Natural Science and the Mystical Worldview

Of all the insights into the nature of objective reality that we owe to natural science, it seems to me that knowledge about the nature of our perception is of especially great significance. It pays to reflect upon the fact that perception by the senses (seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling) not only mediates our contact with the material outer world, but are also the key to the opening of the spiritual world.

“You Just Broke Your Child. Congratulations.”

Whether it’s religion, politics, sports, or societal norms. It is not our place to tell our kids what to think. It is our place to teach our kids to think correctly. If we do this, we need have no fear of what they will decide for themselves and how strongly they’ll stand behind it

Limitation or Infinite Potentiality?

We have all the choice to make. To continue to operate and experience the limitation of fear and separation, or we can let it go and move forward into a more natural state of expansive, playful consciousness where anything is possible. Absolutely anything!

Why Won’t You Change? (Video)

Excerpted from J. Krishnamurti’s Life Story and Teachings. Krishnamurti asks us to give deep attention to this question of why we won’t change when we already understand the importance of changing. Why won’t we prevent all wars to save our own children? Will we be forever nationalistic? We are psychologically conditioned, and to actually change for the better we must each individually break through this conditioning.

We Love You – Iran & Israel (Video)

I see sometime here, on the TV, an Iranian. He is talking about war.
I’m sure he does not represent all the people of Iran.
If you see someone on your TV talking about bombing you …be sure he does not represent all of us.

Trudie Styler on Rainforest Preservation and the Human Spirit

While there are some terribly harsh realities in the world – caused both by humankind and by nature – the resilience of the human spirit is always remarkable and inspiring. For every harmful deed there are many more acts of compassion, and ultimately this supports my continued faith in human nature.

The New Man

The new man will not have any guilt. The new man will not have any split. The new man will have only one religion; that is awareness. The new man will have only one world, this world. Because that world is hidden behind it. This world is like a circumference, and that world is the center. And I call the whole man the holy man; then he becomes Zorba the Buddha.

Ahimsa – Vegan Farm Sanctuary (Video)

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word that means no harm or no violence. It is the philosophy by which Gandhi led his life. In this film we journey to a farm animal sanctuary in Colorado and meet people who live by the concept of Ahimsa and see how it affects the choices they make.

The Art of Trying

The wise understand that repetition has a cause: to teach the lesson that still needs teaching. Repetitive situations require different solutions every time. The one who fails must not see this as a mistake, but rather as a step toward greater self knowledge.

Humanity, Energy, and Oneness

Sub-atomic particles, molecules, and cells work together to form the tissues, muscles, and organ systems that make living beings. Many organisms live together in populations and communities, and along with their surrounding form giant, interdependent ecosystems. Together, all of these things inhabit our biosphere, and the Earth itself is dependent on the parts of its whole. But the connection does not stop there.

Lakota Women Lead Victory Over Keystone Pipeline Trespassers (Video)

Lakota families refuse to allow passage of a convoy of trucks and equipment servicing the Keystone XL Pipeline. Blocking the highway with non-violent resistance, the determination of the Lakota in rejecting the convoy can be viewed as inspiration to all who oppose the destruction of our environment to temporarily meet energy demands. A temporary victory for sure, but an opportunity to revisit the idea of non-violent resistance and an opportunity to celebrate.

Violence or Inaction: The False Dichotomy

Sadly, for the better part of history our species has resorted to violence as a rule when dealing with dispute resolution, crime and even things as seemingly innocent as raising children or funding community projects. The system that has been built around us has taught us to punish children, fail students, tax consumers, throw so-called “law breakers” in cages and invade any country who might pose a threat, someday, maybe.

Answers

For me, questions are the way we activate our thought processes but they should not be necessarily considered answerable. After all, how could one expect the finite to comprehend the infinite?
