Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. What it will do is what some call ‘turning to sugar’. In reality, honey is always honey. However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will “crystallize”. When this happens loosen the lid, boil some water and sit the honey container in the hot water, but turn off the heat and let it liquefy naturally. It is then as good as it ever was. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. This will kill the enzymes in the honey.

Cinnamon and Honey

Bet the drug companies won’t like this one getting around. Facts on Honey and Cinnamon: It is found that a mixture of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a ‘Ram Ban’ (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without side effects for any kind of diseases. Today’s science says that even though honey is sweet, when it is taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm even diabetic patients. Researched by western scientists:

It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also, those who have already had an attack, when they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as one ages the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and the veins.

ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients may take daily (morning and night) one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. As mentioned for arthritic patients, when taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

  1. Debi says:

The article mentions ‘ Honey can be used without side effects for any kind of diseases.’ Which yes is true BUT children under the age of 1 year can be at risk of botulism and honey should NOT be given to babies under the age of 1.

  2. The more I read about honey the more obvious it becomes that it is a true miracle food. I try and cook with honey as much as possible, and it just feels like the right thing to do. I will definitely add cinnamon to the mix. Thanks for the info.

    • mothman777 says:

According to 5,000 year old Ayurvedic medicine, one should never ever cook honey, as it changes it’s properties, and the honey, when cooked, will then cause the blood to thicken, which of course places you at more risk of stroke and less oxygenation of cells throughout the body, which will lead to additional problems.

So I would suggest adding honey to a cupful of water that has boiled and had cinnamon added after a few minutes have passed when the water is no longer boiling temperature, so as to preserve the medicinal properties of the honey.

Only raw, unpasteurized, unheated and untreated honey, organic as the bees will not have fed on GM crops or pesticides, will be what you really want, as most honey sold is fake and most of that which is not is ruined by filtering and pasteurization.

  3. Roger says:

The benefits of the Honey as I have mentioned on another article is only as good as the processing.

Manuka Honey for one is still processed and sold in plastic.

This Honey is poured firstly into plastic vats at source, and then chemical type blue vats with black lids, for transport which are roughly made with plastic bits, like skin tags on the inside which come off, you will have seen them, for shipping, and then the honey is poured for commercial sale into guess what plastic (BPA) toxic jars!

Now I’m sure some are aware of the dangers of ingesting plastic and (BPA) poison the gender bender! Honey has as one of its great constituents “hydrogen peroxide” as a natural protective disinfectant, but this then leaches into the plastic making the plastic leech into the honey even more so, and when you eat it, you can guess what happens to your body.

No food no matter how good in its raw form, is only as good as the way its collected stored and processed before getting to you.

So be aware and never buy eat or cook anything that is a liquid or raw from or in a plastic. Besides the dangerous health effects men will become women, and women, men! And then you become ill and die.

Oh and cooking with honey destroys the natural enzymes the only thing honey dislikes is high heat.

  4. wolf27 says:

    Hey. Not too worried about
BPA unless I am drinking water or other beverages. You have your point, but water is the biggest candidate for leaching especially in the sun. Take what precautions that you can. I have cured MRSA from wrestling mats with the manuka externally. Was.t too worried about the BPA then.
One question not addressed, is instead of cinnamon powder would it be more or less effetive just to boil and simmer cinnamon sticks for twenty minutes then add the local, raw honey, which I do purchase in glass?

    • Roger says:

You should be worried about the “BPA”! Because you are ingesting it already from other sources everyday and its accumulative. The “BPA” in any substance does not totally invalidate something but it surely lowers its effectiveness and in the long term if you keep ingesting it from such things as Teflon pans, plastics plastic containers plastic wrap and even canned food stuffs the liners are sprayed with BPA, it will build up and make you sick and kill you sooner than you would wont to bed ridden or die. Yes plastic bottled water is one bad source and sunlight makes it worse, but its the accumulative build up that does the damage from multiple sources. Track all the things you buy or use and eat that have BPA leeching out and it will shock you!

  5. Bonnie says:

“BAD BREATH: People of South America, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water first thing in the morning so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.’

Whaaat?! Were you get this old peasant folk-like story? Cinammon is not native to S Amer. If anyone likes in the countryside, in any of those countries, they’d use herbs. Or But you can believe Latinos inn cities or even small towns, use toothpowder or paste.
