I love the sound of construction. I always have. Not the industrial sound from the kind of massive, offensive structures made with other-worldly looking machines, but the intentional, gentle kind. Small structures going up, improvements on homes, road repairs, even tending to gardens whether it’s tree pruning or small rearrangements.

Hammers and saws and simple equipment, busy in the hands of caring people. It’s all creation at work.

The same is happening on the conscious awakening level. New structures are being built continually. We may not get to “see” the fulfillment of what’s truly going on about us, but a new world is being born nonetheless. Just as you’d see a myriad of tiny gossamer webs sparkling with dew on a leaf or pine needle strewn forest floor, so micro and macro networks are growing and spreading around the globe continually.

And it’s something we can derive great encouragement from.

Earth’s Awakening

A very similar parallel is occurring with our home planet. It’s continual and appears to be stepping up. She recycles, she shakes things around, she sweeps her atmosphere, she builds new molten mountains…all as she careens through space no matter what alien body may confront her.

Not unaware, yet fearless.

That sounds a lot like humanity to me. We carry on, we keep building, we keep learning. We can’t help it. It’s the power of creation of which we are part. Whatever may befall us we’ll chug along right up to that moment. It’s how we are.

On an evolving planet in evolving bodies in an evolving and currently contrived social construct humanity still thrives. It’s in our nature. The nature of everything to be exact. Here’s an interesting example if not parallel.

Our Crystalline Heritage

Crystals keep building and growing. That the “rocks are alive” may be a shock to some, but it’s fact to others. And just as creation keeps growing and transforming, so does humanity, physically and spiritually. It’s natural. Sure, there’s decay but there’s always continual rebirth followed by more growth. Crystals are living fractals, the imprint of the holographic nature of the Universe.

When you consider the current manufactured societal world we’re living in, it is anything but constructive. It is destructive on more levels than we can name. From spiritual, moral and economic subversion, to continual wars and the very real potential for nuclear and/or geoengineered decimation. Our home is clearly under attack, by very serious and well coordinated forces.

Crystals and the fractal reality they evidence are a gateway to understanding the nature of our alive, holographic universe. Fractals are not just amazing in their own right, but that we can see them grow in nature in crystalline structures, including holographic human blood, should amaze and encourage anyone.

What do movie special effects, the stock market, heart attacks and the rings of Saturn have in common? They all consist of fractals, irregular repeating shapes found in cloud formations, tree limbs, stalks of broccoli and craggy mountain ranges and even in the human heart. Discovered by mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot, they are the architecture used by nature.

Entropy vs Creation

Entropy is the phenomenon that breaks down complex organisms or structures to their most basic components. The whole concept of entropy, both natural and manipulated, when applied to humanity’s condition is quite profound.

It’s degradation…of thought, of intention and more importantly the underlying impetus for courage and resultant action. In the physical and at the quantum level it is a breakdown of creative structure of any kind into a lower vibrational signal. A very serious concept and reality to explore. After all, we are fundamentally vibrational so the conflict would take place at that level in some way.

That we have proliferating cell towers and other EMF relay stations, smart meters, CFL lightbulbs, nuclear contamination, GMOs etc. now deliberately working to accomplish this purpose attests to this, never mind the other manufactured influences. This may take some research, but the attempts to break down humanity have few limits.

Most of all, they are all entropic, as are the programs of the social engineers. It’s the ultimate fulfillment of divide and conquer, breaking down our complexity into easily manageable units and attempting to erase our creative nature and abilities.

I Hear the Sound of Construction

In spite of whatever influences befall us, the sound of creation continues. It’s beautiful, it’s continual, and it has so much energy! People are busy and active in all walks of life, but they’re also waking up and doing something about what they’re learning. It almost doesn’t matter what, just that they activate.

As I like the say, the boat has to be in motion for the rudder to take effect.

Individually and collectively we are taking action, and inherently building a new “crystalline” structure despite this onslaught of misinformation and misdirection. It may not appear anywhere in the media, it may seem insignificant, but it is real and happening far and wide. This reality needs our attention and focus.

As each of us activates, disengages from the beast and its web of lies, the new world is realizing. And this awakened world is rising beneath our very feet. Now.

Our Construction vs Their Entropy

The points above may seem somewhat disjointed or unrelated, but they are meant to illustrate our predicament as well as our innate empowerment against any onslaught. And this is barely scratching the surface.

Most importantly, new lives built on awake awareness are sprouting more than we could number. No matter the impotent attempts at fearful tamp downs by outside influences, we are alive and active, like a culture of warmth and truth residing safely under the earth. It cannot be extinguished. The electromagnetic, social engineering, food adaptation and other methods of subjugation will only have so much effect.

Activate with confidence. It’s ours in love for the taking.

Make your garden large, and make it green and growing. It doesn’t matter what befalls us, we are here to cultivate. Our energy outweighs theirs by quantum leaps, if they’re even in the same league as we are. Which they aren’t.

Never dread, and don’t stare at their machinations. They are crumbling even now.

Ours is to build and to plant, all the while exposing their perfidy.

Do it triumphantly.

Much love, Zen

Most people would agree we all want to live in a kinder, more humane world. A world where there is respect for human life, economic resources are shared, and the old and infirm are treated with dignity.  In each of these areas there is room for improvement. Economically many are still without the basic necessities of life and go hungry. Even in the richest country on earth, often the sick go untreated.

Further most would agree, somehow, as a planet we need to work together to share our natural resources and improve our collective circumstance. It is at this point, when we try to identify and prioritize what areas need improving and how we are to accomplish this all, we start to disagree and things break down.

Rationale or linear thought is able to tackle some of these problems, offering possible solutions; however this form of thought is not able to solve all problems. It has limitations and, in some areas, is like the cart and horse that is without a driver and going around in circles. Generally, for problems which involve the needs of divergent groups, there is no balancing factor and the needs of one group bounce unsuccessfully against the needs of others. In situations like this, self-interest repeatedly rears its head and there appears to be no corrective. Many are slow to accept that the needs of the individual are bound to the needs of the many.

What is the corrective to this harmful self-interest? What factor reconciles the needs of different nations while sharing the earth’s resources in an ecologically sound manner?

The balancing factor is higher knowledge or knowledge that is spiritual in nature and tied to our collective higher destiny. It must be added to the mix and used with our other capacities to find solutions. Higher knowledge will not replace common sense, experience, hard work or economic imperative. That is not its function. It is an added capacity which integrates and works alongside others.

The spiritual traveler maintains humanity is evolving to a higher condition. This evolutionary process is according to Design and is purposeful and directed. The outcome of this process is better individuals who are more complete, balanced and better able to serve others. This higher state of being can only be reached when the integrating factor is added. This is holistic thought or increased spiritual capacity. It is attained one traveler at a time and only by entering upon a path to spiritual completion. Better people make a better world. More complete travelers make sounder decisions and are equally concerned about their neighbor and themselves.

Many paths are sacred and all travelers have the potential to reach higher. The higher consciousness teaches we are connected and have within a Divine spark of energy. As we come to understand this and be one with this energy, we experience our connectedness to others and are better able to serve. Spiritually this oneness links us and we take positive, holistic, action. Better people select honest, hardworking representatives. These representatives combine to form a useful government that participates in a richer, more humane world.

If we are truly committed to making a better world, we start with ourselves. We seek to create the best version of our self and use all our talents. This includes added spiritual capacity and higher knowledge.

Yes this planet can be a wonderful place to live. Yet we must work together and solve our mutual problems. This willingness to work together comes naturally to some and for others only after a personal catastrophe or natural disaster of some kind. For many problems facing us, this coming together of people is essential. We are one family and must remember our common heritage or in time our planet will be lost.

Added spiritual capacity and higher knowledge is the missing ingredient and enabling factor. Each of us must take personal steps to add this element to our lives and fully embrace the higher potential in all the great religions. Then the needs of the many will more easily reconcile with the needs of the few.

Once there was a traveler who walked the highway in search of Truth. He stopped at every town and inquired. Sometimes the answers he received appeared to be useful and at other times, they did not. Always the advice he received was targeted at his worldly life: get a job, marry and have children. Or don’t work, live in a monastery and become a recluse.

Somehow these pieces of advice did not satisfy him, so, he kept searching. One day as luck would have it, he encountered a wise man who said, “The answer lies within.” So for many years, this traveler with the help of the wise one examined the inner world and came to see these experiences as part of the answer.

Slowly, he realized, what good is spiritual knowledge if it is not incorporated into the world? So he settled down, found a job, married and raised a family. As he worked, celebrated and worried, he came to see a truly spiritual life is a life that serves others and is guided by the unseen forces. And according to Design, he found real knowledge, used this knowledge in the way it was intended and the world about him benefited.

At the heart of Hinduism is a spiritual and philosophical framework known as Vedanta. To understand the distinction between the two, it’s important to understand the origin of the word Hindu. When the first explorers from Persia traveled to India (then known as Bharat), they came across the Indus valley region of the country and called the indigenous people there Hindus. The meaning of Hinduism then went on to connote the entire set of traditions, rituals, practices, cultures, rites and so forth for an extraordinarily complex society and lifestyle.

The root set of Hindu values, ethics, knowledge, spirituality, astronomy, mathematics, agriculture and health care practices came from ancient Sanskrit texts known as the four Vedas (Rig, Yamur, Atharva & Sama). While no one knows for sure how old the Vedas are, some estimates put the age at 10,000 years or even much older. The word Veda is very similar to the word science in that in means the methods and techniques for acquiring knowledge as well as the accumulative body of knowledge amassed.

The Sanskrit word “anta” literally means the end of, or the culmination of, and so appending this suffix to the word Veda, we get Vedanta which means the end of knowledge or the culmination of knowledge. Vendanta represents the highest spiritual knowledge within all the Vedas. Generally speaking, Vedanta refers to ancient texts known as The Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gita and certain commentaries on both by Shankaracharya.

In many traditions, God is said to be Omniscient, or All Knowing, with the prefix omni meaning ‘all’ and the word ‘scient,’ being the present participle of the Latin scīre which means “to know.” Over the past several thousand years, mankind wouldn’t have been able to move out of caves, begin to build structures, roads and cities, develop agriculture and understand the seasons and astronomy without some form of science. The spirit of science has always been about a quest for knowledge, a yearning for the truth and over the millennia, there have been many different forms of science, culminating in what has become to be known as the Modern Scientific Method around 400 years ago.

For better or for worse, the word science now generally refers to the Modern Scientific Method but the answers to mankind’s greatest questions lay outside the purview of anything the Modern Scientific Method can ever hope to resolve. Is there an immortal soul? Is there a supreme intelligence governing the cosmos? Is there life after death? What is the purpose/meaning of life? These questions fall outside of anything that modern science can possibly provide an answer for and yet these questions represent the highest knowledge attainable by man. More importantly, there is a science that provides the same necessary framework defined within the Modern Scientific Method of assumptions and definitions, postulates and hypotheses, theories, methods and techniques that can answer these profound questions and that science is Vedanta.

Vedanta has slowly been integrated into Western Society’s thinking for a very long time and once we begin to look under the hood and learn a little bit about what is and is not Vedanta, we realize that the basic concepts and practices are already quite familiar to us. Here are some of the principles and tenets of Vedanta that most of us easily recognize:

  • Underneath this apparent reality is an indivisible substratum of existence that all matter, anti-matter, thoughts, emotions and memories rise up and dissolve back in to. In other words, “We are All ONE” and this theme has been scientifically proven with Quantum Mechanics.
  • While this non-dual, Supreme Being is singular and beyond comprehension, it has been given many names (Brahmin, God, Atman, Allah, etc.), characteristics and properties. From the Rig Veda, “the truth is one, the wise call it by many names.”
  • “I am That” is the basis for Self Realization. That the nature of the Self is, in fact, divine and you are the Self.
  • Our mind’s identification with our ego is what keeps us from realizing this Truth, therefore keeping us in ignorance.
  • Once we fully realize the Truth of who we really are, we attain liberation from the bondages of mind-body identification and move beyond suffering.
  • The journey of liberation is a process of passing through several levels of stages and the individual becoming more wise, compassionate, joyful and peaceful along the way.
  • There is any number of different avenues to Self Realization. No single path is the correct one.

Vedanta in the West

From Ralph Waldo Emerson, Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau to The Beatles, Eddie Vedder and Russell Brand, westerners have a long history of turning to ancient Indian philosophies and practices to enhance their lives, bring peace of mind and provide practical wisdom. Films such as The Matrix, Vanilla Sky, Star Wars (Joseph Campbell, the renowned expert on Vedanta consulted George Lucas on the first three films), Inception and even Kung Fu Panda all have obvious Vedantic references and themes.

When Carl Jung first visited India 100 years ago, he was quoted as saying that Western Psychoanalytic Theory was in its mere infancy compared with Easter Philosophy. Alcoholics Anonymous founder Bill Wilson also was influenced by Eastern Philosophies, meaning that the 12-Step program has its origins in Vedantic  Science as well. One of the most popular and effective contemporary mental health treatment programs, Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), is comprised of four primary modules (Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Relations Skills) which are pure Vedanta, whether the creator of DBT understood  them to be or not. That’s just how much Vedanta has permeated our way of collective thought processes.

The New Thought  Movement

Successive waves of Vedantic influence have sailed across the oceans to America’s shores, from the Romantics in the early 1800s (including President Adams and William Emerson, Ralph Waldo’s father) to the India Invasion of the 1890’s when both Swami Vivekananda and Paramahansa Yogananda emigrated to the U.S., but one of the largest waves of Vedanta to impact America was the New Thought Movement.

Long before Rhonda Byrnes wrote the book “The Secret and produced the film of the same name, books like Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill, The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles and The Master Key System by Charles Haanel promoted the idea that things are thoughts and our thoughts determine what gets manifested as our reality, and in order to attract wealth into our lives, we need to reprogram the way we think. The Law of Attraction, as it is commonly known today was a significant component in The New Thought Movement started over 100 years ago by Thomas Troward.

Troward, who is considered to be by many to be the Father of the New Thought Movement, was a divisional judge in India during British Imperial rule, and when he returned to England in the early 1900s, he brought back with him the ancient knowledge, philosophy and wisdom of Vedanta.

The Religious Science Organization, another branch of the New Thought Movement, was spearheaded by Earnest Holmes who’s book The Science of Mind is still studied throughout North America by secular spiritualists who seek something more meaningful and life changing than what they feel they get from orthodox religions.

The New Thought Movement is considered to be an amalgamation of several different disciplines and philosophies including Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Hinduism but in reality The New Thought Movement is pure Vedanta. If you take into account that Jesus trained in India during the so called lost years of the bible, that Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism all have their roots in Vedanta, and that Vedanta is the spiritual core of Hinduism, then you can understand that the movement is basically a watered down, westernized version of Vedanta.

Organizations in the West Offering Vedantic Knowledge

The reasons that Vedanta appeals on so many different levels to westerners is that it doesn’t ask that we defer to an authority and are expected to have faith in miraculous events but rather, Vedanta says “here is what we accept as truths, and here are a set of parameters, methods and techniques to test and verify for yourself.” Vedanta rationally speaks about divinity without offending a person’s sense of reason and never asks you to believe anything without having your own personal experience of it.

In North America, there are many, many Vedantic based organizations easily accessible for people interested in their own search for truth and a few of the larger ones are widely available. All of Buddhism is based on Vedanta and one of the most popular retreats is Vipassana taught by S.N. Goenka. The Self Realization Fellowship and Vedanta Society, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda and Swami Vivekananda respectively are still very popular and the TM (Transcendental Meditation) organization that was started by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1950s is very well known, primarily for meditation but also has Vedanta as its basis as well. And most recently, there is the Art of Living, which was founded in 1982 by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and is currently the world’s fastest growing Vedanta based movement.

What sets the Art of Living apart from all of the other organizations focused on providing Vedantic based retreats and practices is that after 4000 years of tradition, a new technique has been added to the repertoire of tools encompassed within Vedanta, a rhythmic breathing technique known as the Sudarshan Kriya which has been scientifically proven to bring significant decreases in cortisol (the stress hormone), cholesterol, sleeplessness, restlessness and anxieties.

Whether your motivation is stress relief, clarity of thought and better sense of well being or your motivation is expansion of consciousness, Self inquiry and ultimately Moksha (liberation), Vedanta’s universal approach is applicable as well as beneficial to everyone. And whether your preference is to set off on your own on an adventure of self discovery or you’d rather get involved with a specific organization or group, the promise and value of Vedanta is equally the same. Thou art That.

Pineal Gland -1Buck Rogers, Staff Writer

The  pine cone shaped, pea-sized pineal gland, located in the center of the human brain, is an organ of tremendous interest these days. To many spiritual seekers it is the ‘seat of the soul‘ and the ‘third eye,’ the anatomical part of the human body that acts as our spiritual antennae, connecting us to the non-physical, spiritual planes of existence. However, to many scientists and rigid materialist thinkers, it is strictly an endocrine gland responsible for the secretion of the hormone melatonin, a substance which, among other things, aids in the regulation of our circadian rhythms.

Far from cased closed, this small, but intriguing piece of the human organism is the source of endless discussion and consideration, as many people believe that by cleansing, detoxifying or decalcifying the pineal gland, one can more readily achieve spiritual states of consciousness and can experience with greater depth and clarity.

Of course naysayers who disregard the possibility of the existence of any spiritual dimension to life and to the pineal gland are quick to point out that no scientific evidence has proven that the pineal gland is in fact the organ responsible for spiritual experience. Yet, many people who’ve developed the subtle awareness and inward reflection required to connect to the spiritual qualities of humanity can clearly sense that something profound takes place within the area of the brain where the pineal gland sits, including visions, intuitive thoughts, vibrations, harmonic resonance with certain sounds, and other mystical phenomenon.

As the debate between science and spirituality carries on, the pineal gland sits at the center of the brain enticing both spiritual adepts and naysayers alike to take a closer look into the mysteries that make human beings spiritual creatures capable having psychological experiences that evade validation by modern scientific research methods and modes of thought.

Here are 10 questions about the pineal gland that add to the mystery of spirituality:

1. Is the pineal gland the evolutionary remnant of a literal third mammalian eye that moved into the center of the brain and changed functions from gathering light to entraining rhythms in accordance with information gathered by the retina?

2. Why do the visionary states of consciousness induced by psychedelics and meditative practices seem to be centered around the very part of the brain where the pineal gland sits?

3. If there is no connection between spirituality and the pineal gland, how is it that the 6th chakra (Ajna chakra), according to ancient Hindu tradition, is located precisely where the pineal gland sits, and has for centuries been associated with the ‘mind’s eye,’ the eye of intellect and intuition?

4. Is there a connection between the spiritual promise of the pineal gland, which is shaped like a pine cone, and the Pigna, the colossal bronze pine cone statue of ancient Rome which now sits in a courtyard in the Vatican?

5. Does the pineal gland produce the body’s natural supply of DMT, dimethyltriptamine, a chemical compound that produces incredible visionary effects when consumed in concentrated form or in the Amazonian medicine Ayahuasca?

6. Does the pineal gland release massive doses of DMT when a person dies, or when a person nearly dies, which causes the mind to have near-death experiences, or causes the soul to return to source?

7. What is the significance of the fact that the ancient Egyptian symbol, the Eye of Horus, strongly resembles the anatomy of the middle section of the brain and upper cortex, centering on the thalamus and the pineal gland?

pineal thalamus

8. Why is the pineal gland the only organ in the human body that calcifies and solidifies with age?

9. If the pineal gland has little effect on consciousness, why is it that people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, diseases which cause them to be severely psychologically disconnected from the ‘real world,’ have pineal glands that are much more calcified than those of ordinary people?

10. Why is it that following the methods of pineal gland decalcification and cleansing often bring genuine results to people who are seeking heightened spiritual experience, and why do these practices often result in people being able to more easily remember dreams and lead them to feel more connected to ‘source?’

Conclusion

There certainly is more to the human spiritual experience than just having a decalcified pineal gland, however, in our modern culture, which has grown spiritually bereft, the pineal gland holds special significance as people look for any possible technique or enhancement to the human body and mind that can assist them in re-connecting to divinity.

Some of these questions are better suited for serious scientists and laboratory research, however, simply pondering the role that human anatomy plays in spiritual experience can expand our awareness of the connection between the health of the body and the health of the spirit.

Why read the book when I can watch the movie version?

It’s been said before that the main difference between people reading a book and people watching a movie is this: Reading is very personal – the interpretation of words can be as different as the variety of people reading it. It is likely that no two people see the exact same image in their minds.

Movies, however, are a different story – everyone sees the same story and image. Not too much is left to interpretation. But it also could be different as far as brain stimulation goes. A faster type of brain imaging technology is proving that the brains of people watching a movie are united in synchronization. A movie triggers the exact same points of their brains, at the exact same time of viewing – spiking and flat-lining in sync.

Researchers at Aalto University in Finland have succeeded in developing a method fast enough to observe immediate changes in the function of the brain, even quick stimulation while watching a movie. And that is the intended purpose of using magnetoencephalography (MEG) as opposed to the common functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). MEG captures superior temporal resolution within milliseconds.

Movies were really a testing ground for this brain scan technology and also showed brain synchronization with other viewers. Interestingly, the movie clip of At Land, showed to eight people was a mere 15-minute clip from a black and white silent film (1944).

By employing movies it was possible to investigate the function of the human brain in experimental conditions that are close to natural. Traditionally, in neuroscience research, simple stimuli, such as checkerboard patterns or single images, have been used.

Viewing a movie creates multilevel changes in the brain function. Despite the complexity of the stimulus, the elicited brain activity patterns show remarkable similarities across different people – even at the time scale of fractions of seconds.

While the medical benefits of MEG are clearly demonstrated using movies as the test, what does it really say about theaters full of people viewing the same screen? Would the same synchronization take place on a roller coaster?

What about eight people reading the same book? Would the act of reading create synchronization – or the interpretation of imagery? And, does this syncing effect bond people at some level, or isolate them?

Here is an image from the study found here, showing how closely the brain graphs are synchronized:

Waking Times

From birth, virtually all of us have been brainwashed through various outlets that encourage materialism, ego, subservience, control and conformity. But where do the origins of mind control begin and what can we do about it?

1. Religion

As children, the brainwashing begins in the church when we are baptized. Many parents do not question baptism or the origins of it and blindly have their children baptized as the church welcomes them into the community in the name of Jesus Christ. The Jesus story, alone, isn’t questioned by enough Christians who blindly believe anything they are told in the name of “faith”.

I’d like to believe there is a Santa Claus and an Easter Bunny, too. These holidays both have Pagan origins, yet Christians never question these either. It’s all part of the lie propagated to us by religion.

Many Christians will argue that their church does good things for others while the bible provides good morals and values.

A counter-argument is that you don’t need a church to do good things for others or a bible to be a morally sound person. Additionally, the bible also teaches hatred and fear such as when God allegedly kills everyone with the “Great Flood”, except Noah and his family.

These are the horror stories our children learn in Sunday school. Not only that, but the messages are often convoluted and ambiguous. What kind of message are we sending our children?

While the bible provides nice parables to learn from, they are not necessary, especially with all of the other negative content provided by religion.

And we haven’t even touched all of the unnecessary deaths through inquisitions and crusades which continue today. Killing innocent people seems to have a common theme in religion and is carried on to our children as they become toddlers.

With the idea planted that it is alright to kill in the name of God, our children begin to emulate these preconceived ideas through the games they play.

2. Ridiculous Role Models

Boys play with cork guns and cap guns and begin to play “Cowboys and Indians” at a young age. Think about how appalling this is, not only to indigenous people but also teaching a child to kill as a “game.”

They also are bought G.I. Joe action figures and pretend to kill opposing troops. Plastic figurines of soldiers in combat are sold to children, some of which prominently display ethnicity, which plays into the divide and conquer mentality that is seeded at this age.

Most girls have played with a Barbie doll at some point in their life. The Barbie doll sets the stage for materialistic attitudes as well as buying into the Cosmo girl image. It also dictates the role and expectations of what a woman should look like while dividing our children in stereotyped roles for the rest of their lives.

3. Money, Ego and Materialism

We often ask our children, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Rarely does a child say, “A healer” or “A yoga instructor.” Often, a parent will help to persuade a child into a lucrative job role such becoming a doctor or lawyer.

The need for money is further enhanced through board games such as Monopoly and Life, where our children learn greed through bankrupting their friends. While there are some positive attributes of these games, the bottom line is how they support a positive view of the banksters who have corrupted this planet while emphasizing materialism and greed.

The latest bankster game involves cashless Monopoly:

What are kids really learning in the game of Life?

4. Divide and Conquer Techniques

Our children are taught how to play sports and the importance of winning. While sports provide exercise and promote physical dexterity and good health, they also play into the “divide and conquer” mentality that our children will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

How many asinine arguments have you seen between two grown men arguing who’s team or player is better than the other. First of all, it’s not “their” team unless they have physical ownership of it. Secondly, the two players they’re arguing about probably could care less about their argument. Lastly, these two people are too blind to see how they’re still buying into the divide and conquer mentality that was engrained within them since they began playing “Cowboys and Indians” at a young age.

The game is blatantly being played before our own eyes, yet many of us fail to see it. For example, if the Dallas cowboys were to play the Kansas City Chiefs (or Washington Redskins), then you have your classic “Cowboys vs. Indians” matchup. It’s all about “My tribe” is better than “Your Tribe” which keeps us separated as people.

5. Television

Many of us grew up watching television which can be a humorous outlet or an opportunity to actually learn something, but for the most part, it gets us accustomed and hypnotized into subservience once our brains enter the alpha state of conditioning. How many times have you sat through a commercial, knowing fully how much you despise the commercial without changing the channel?

Albert Bandura has a theory of modeling where the child will emulate the parent’s behavior. This is why “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” In the absence of the parent(s), the child will be influenced by what he or she sees on television, further influencing their materialistic and ego-ladened views of society, while accepting television as a normal part of their daily routine.

The entire main stream media (radio, television, magazines, book publishers, etc…) are owned by 6 corporations who greatly influence our children through programming. Even the word “programming” should be questioned, because this is exactly what brainwashing does… it programs our minds and especially, the minds of children who are easily influenced.

6. Education

Our educational systems encourage conformity and competition while suppressing or ignoring any special abilities a child may have, such as the ability to have an out of body experience. In addition, our children are not learning the true history of our origin while being forced to learn a propaganda filled view of what history looks like through biased eyes.

The textbooks our children read are printed by companies who, ultimately, are Zionist owned. What are the chances that a Zionist view would differ from the view of a Palestinian or someone who opposes Zionism?

7. Health

In a recent article entitled, “The HIDDEN History Of Fluoride” the addition to fluoride in our water supply as well as in chemtrails has helped to dumb down the population in order to make us more subservient and controllable.

Part of the hidden history of fluoride includes the following:

1940 Soviet concentration camps maintained by fluoride administration to inmates todecrease resistance to authority and induce physical deteriorization.1950 Soviets add fluoride to water in prison system to maintain subservience in the inmate population.1954 C.E.Perkins, I.G.Farben chemist, admits fluoride is to reduce resistance in people to authority.Robert Carton, PhD formerly President of the union of Government Scientists working at the US Environmental Protection Agency said: “Water fluoridation is the greatest case of scientific fraud of this century, if not of all time.

If fluoride has been proven to create subservience in prison and concentration camps, then what is it doing to our children who refuse to question authority figures or any official government position that is against the best interests of humanity?

One must also question the insurmountable number of vaccines our children receive. There is NO amount of mercury that is acceptable in the human body, so one must ask how ANY mercury will affect our newborn children? With the increasing number of vaccines our children receive, we also see a correlation to the number of deaths due to vaccinations as well as an exponential rise in autism.

What Can I Do About This?

1. Realize that as long as there is money, we are ALL economic slaves.

It all happens by the age of 12-14. One thing we don’t teach our children is how accumulated wealth is a delusional idea which inconspicuously facilitates status, security and happiness, all of which are inherent without money, yet we have been engrained in this illusion that separates us as a global society while maintaining barbaric divide and conquer principles in a capitalist society masquerading as a democracy.

At what point is enough, “enough”?

2. Ask questions… a lot of them!

Our children should be encouraged to ask questions as often as possible instead of regurgitation the state-sponsored propaganda that our schools teach.

For example, because of corporate greed, we are creating an unsustainable society. The use of “fossil fuels” is a ridiculous proposition within itself to assume that all of the world’s oil came from decomposed dinosaurs, but it’s even more asinine to assume we even need oil for fuel when hydro technologies are available, such as the water powered car invented by Stanley Meyer, or Tesla’s free energy system.

Innovators, such as Meyer, are “rewarded” by threats and execution by those who fear the loss of power. The simplest answer is to open source all inventions, including suppressed technologies.

Our children never learn these truths in school because according to our economic slave masters, innovation only comes at the expense of need, not conformity.

Our children should be encouraged to be the innovators of the future who work in the best interests of humanity instead of CEO’s and business executives who are pillaging our planet at the expense of the 99% who are enslaved beneath them.

3. Think outside the box

Our educational system does not encourage creative thinking and the majority of what our children learn is all left-hemisphere thinking, which is mathematical and logic based, instead of right hemisphered, which is artistic and creative. By doing so, our children are essentially being trained to work either inside a cubicle or at a fast food restaurant because they never learned the tools of creativity and how to follow their life purpose versus being forced into the corporate world of economic subservience until they are 65 years old.

4. Stop Watching (State Sponsored Propaganda) Television!!!

Watching TV is arguably the #1 brainwashing tool of the corporate elite as the television will tell you what to wear and how to think while taking away your own ability to think critically for yourself.

The news programs are designed to keep us living in perpetual fear because when we live in fear, we move further away from our true spiritual essence. The use of fear also makes us more controllable as a population where we eventually give up our civil rights in exchange for perceived security.

The commercials are just as bad as any “programming”. Most TV commercials show extroverts who are specifically dressed in a certain way with clothing that appeals to your senses in subliminal ways.

5. Try to eliminate as much fluoride from your daily routine.

Not only does fluoride help to contribute to a more subservient population, it also calcifies your pineal gland, otherwise known as the “3rd eye”. Your pineal gland is a gateway to other dimensions, so if it is calcified, then you will be limiting your utmost ability for creative thought and expression as well as dimming your spiritual connection to Creator and your higher self.

The further you move away from spirituality, the easier it is for you to be controlled.

6. Research the detriments of vaccinations.

Please keep in mind that there is NO amount of mercury that is good for anyone, especially children!

7. Do NOT ingest any genetically modified foods (or processed foods)

There have been NO longitudinal studies on the effect of GMO’s on our bodies, so we are all literally guinea pigs being tested.

One thing you might want to consider is the poison that is built into specific foods, such as GMO corn. When a bug eats GMO corn, it explodes from the inside out because the BT Toxin is not in the husk of the corn, but it the corn, itself. Imagine what this corn is doing to you and your children?

Try to buy organic food or grow your own with organic heirloom seeds. When shopping at the grocery store, avoid just about all products in the middle aisles as they are generally all processed foods.

8. Teach your children how to meditate.

Meditation has the potential to literally transform the world. In 1978, what is known as the “Maharishi Effect” a group of 7000 individuals over the course of 3 weeks were meditating in hopes of positively effecting the surrounding city. They were able to literally transform the collective energy of the city which reduced global crime rates, violence, and casualties during the times of their meditation by an average of 16%. Suicide rates and automobile accidents also were reduced with all variables accounted for. In fact, there was a 72% reduction in terrorist activity during the times at which this group was meditation.

When you meditate, you look within for answers instead of relying on other people’s opinions, whether religious, political or educational. The truth is ALWAYS within. Anything you have ever been taught has been something that was regurgitated by someone else. Look within and you will find the answers you are looking for.

Can You Envision World Without Money?

If you can’t envision a world without money, then you will probably have a difficult time understanding the future, especially if you watch a lot of television.

In the future, when a child is asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” they will answer, “Me” and will have a concrete idea who “me” is versus the children who have been raised to worship the almighty dollar as they blindly follow the flock ahead of them through religious and educational institutions.

We have been brainwashed for over 2,000 years.  It’s time to break the chains.

Dear Humans,

Today I wish to return to your awareness an aspect of the Human condition that can sense the relative nature of time. This vibration has no perceivable beginning or end, it just simply is. It’s relative to the motion and energy of those things within and around, from organic internal rhythms to the cycle of the Sun, planets, moon and stars.

We seemed attuned to these natural movements. So profound are these influences, one need only consider how the moon attunes to the aspects of a woman and the rhythm of her cycles. And when we look at the position of the Sun, planets and stars we can glean a great deal about who and what we are starting from the day we were born. And so it seems that there’s much more to the nature of time than mechanized movement, rhythm and rotation. There’s an elusive awareness, a streaming consciousness that flows like stardust through an hourglass. And the Heavens whisper their knowing at every degree, arc and angle from their celestial vantage of harmony and light.

But in the hour of our moment, we’ve assailed to “modern times,” where natural rhythms have been largely ignored and replaced by convenient little time-keeping devices. Your cell phone, watch, clock, computer, satellites and most every time-keeping instrument is calibrated in one way or another to a rather innocuous oscillation emanating from a building in Boulder, Colorado. The unlikely source is a stable isotope of cesium-133. More commonly referred to as the atomic clock, the cesium resonance serves as the heartbeat for the modern world.

In the following paragraphs I invite you to take a brief trip with me outside this world of sweeping hands and swinging pendulums. We’ll launch from our powerful mind-ship as a “psychonaut” and explore an uncharted moon where time does not exist. No passing days or nights and neither a tick nor a tock, just perfect stillness. An alien landscape in every sense of the word.

We’re moving at quantum speed now, so your electronic timepiece will no longer serve you. But fear not. Upon our return trip you may begin to question if it ever really did.

Alien Moon and the Clap Echo Second

Imagine, if you will, a world void of any natural sound or vibration, without changing light and shadow or movement of any kind. Stars hang in place with neither a twinkle nor a wink. A number of neighboring planets appear frozen and static amid the inky backdrop of space. You look inside yourself for any hint of rhythm, pulse or breath, but there are none. You’re on a moon where time does not exist. For now, your only concept of time is your memory of it. Had you no recollection at all, then you would not have noticed or cared that your hair is no longer growing and you haven’t aged, not in the slightest bit.

Upon exploring this abandoned place, you discover the ruins of a concrete-like building. It reminds you of a parking structure on Earth. The concrete material has held up perfectly because there is no time effect upon it. No erosion or decay, just like new. You remember as a child how you could clap your hands together and hear the ensuing echo in a structure such as this. And so once again you feel the compulsion. You clap your hands together and to your astonishment a sound is returned.

You begin to notice the duration between the clap of your hands and the returning echo. You soon establish this interval as a “clap echo second.” It not exactly an “Earth” second, but on this alien rock you can call it whatever you want. Imagination runs unabated as you begin to assimilate seconds into minutes and minutes into hours. Not much to work with on this barren moon, but you’ve managed to mimic the duration in some mechanical way by stacking small stones on a primitive slide. The sliding of every stone is roughly synchronized to one clap echo second. Soon it occurs to you that your idea for the rock clock came about some three hundred stones ago, or 300 echo seconds. That’s about five minutes you surmise. And maybe it’s just your imagination, but did the planets in the sky move ever so slightly?

A couple thousand stones later you realize the planets have indeed moved and the edge of what was a stationary shadow has now ebbed and retreated. Once again you clap your hands to “recalibrate” your stone clock but discover something very strange has happened. The echo returns much sooner. You notice the shorter echo has a higher pitch. It’s as if time has sped up and the frequency got higher. Before too long you notice the walls of this parking-like structure had mysteriously moved in closer causing the shorter duration. What a strange building. Whoever built it must of have had a bizarre sense of humor, you figure. In order to stay attuned to this change, your rock clock must be adjusted to work faster. This thought elicits a palpable sensation, and for the first time in a long time, you feel a pulse.

Time Compression, Mind Expansion

On Earth many of us are sensing a phenomenon that feels much the same way. Time seems to be speeding up. In a sense the “walls” are closing in. We feel restriction and a modicum of suffocation. But there are no actual walls moving in. On the contrary— it may be that we are indeed expanding outward. The net effect would feel the same. As consciousness expands, those hypothetical walls seem closer. You can touch them if you like. You can bust them down if that is your choosing. Those drawn to this website might consider the latter.

As time is compressed, frequency is increased. Alternatively, as our frequency increases, time becomes more compressed. This can be exemplified by many musical instruments. Just by stretching a drum head, you can hear the upward change in frequency. Tighter the head, higher the frequency. Same is true with a guitar string. Tighten the string and the frequency goes up. When plucked, there are more oscillations per second in the tightened string than in a looser one. In other words, more waveforms are being generated in the course of a given second. When more is happening in the same amount of time, you have a form of compression.

Do you suppose that maybe your string has tightened a bit? Is there more happening in the course of a minute or an hour than ever before? Perhaps then your frequency has indeed shifted upward and your awareness has expanded in an outwardly manner. If your “operating frequency” is quicker—then there’s no doubt, your clock is also ticking faster.

Higher frequencies are lighter, more energetic and can penetrate deeper into the ethereal realms. Lower frequencies work well in denser Earthly domains. We are born and groomed under the spectrum of lower energies. But higher consciousness is a choice. When one chooses to sharpen their vision, they will eventually begin to see through the veil of illusion that’s been so aggressively promoted as real. Such an experience is both liberating and consequential. It takes courage and resolve to raise one’s energetic footprint and witness the world from this perspective. The guitar string doesn’t tighten on its own. It takes energy, effort and a conscious resolve to get there. And from there it’s always a matter of fine-tuning.

After a fleeting glimpse, there will be a good many that will choose to retreat back to a comfortable-familiar and a place of lower vision. We certainly should not judge those who have made such a decision. It is not their “time” so to speak. But with every passage of the second hand you understand that you are here at this place and time for a reason. For you, there’s no going back. As you tighten your “string” you begin to attune to a new wave of frequencies that resonate along with you. You take some comfort in knowing you’re not alone, even if the others seem far and few between.

Time is a macrocosm worthy of its own dimension and perhaps the most enigmatic of all mysteries. We may not be able to satisfactorily unravel the curious nature of time, but as psychonauts, we’re always prepared to launch penetrating questions and go where no thought has gone before.

We know time is not the linear, hardened construct that’s repeatedly inferred. In a sense, this can be proven. If time were not malleable, then how could one explain precognition, or little peeks into the future? Is this phenomenon real? There are millions that would attest to it. I am but one of them. Naturally anyone who has ever captured a vivid look ahead (no matter how simple or small) would undoubtedly challenge the standard view of time. I know that time is not what “they” say it is. I am as liberated in this knowing as I am challenged by such truth.

Final Thought

Please forgive my extemporaneous use of the term “psychonaut.” Seems I heard it somewhere and I rather like it. I’m acutely aware of the double entendre possibly associated with the expression, but still find it appealing. Just as an astronaut can explore the vastness of space, we can explore the vastness of consciousness. If visualizing oneself in a spacesuit helps—then so be it. The mind-ship will take you wherever you want to go if you will allow it.

The Human expression is not likely the progenitor of all time—but perhaps we are the progenitors of “our” time. I sense the present moment as a fracture in the eternal light, a doorway to all that was and ever will be. It is this very light that moves the planets and steers the stars. We lovingly calibrate to its measure and place it upon a dial or face with hands that point to the hour and minute. So what time is it? It’s our time.

And now we are living at the midnight hour. The sentient Human is absorbing information at an incalculable rate unparalleled to any event in recorded history. Access by way of the internet has allowed people to search for information and investigate most any question that comes to mind. And though there is considerable “bad” information on the net, those that are awakening are developing exceptional discernment abilities on a level their ancestors could not have dreamt possible.

So is time moving faster because consciousness is expanding? That’s my position and I know I’m not alone on that view. The walls aren’t closing in, awareness is pushing them outward. You’ve outgrown the room you were put in. The frequency is higher because the distance is shorter. You have seen the light and the light has spoken. And now you are processing higher information with exceptional speed and efficiency.

In this hour of uncertainty, there will be those who will set the course. For the enlightened, the path will lead to love and understanding and compassion for all things. The vibration of peace is very high in frequency. It can travel infinite distances but can be stopped by a simple layer of Earthly brick. In this shift we must be mindful of the denser energies that can interfere with the coherent and benevolent streams that lightly grace our world.

Within a higher vibration, space feels smaller and the hands of time seem to spin off the dial. But many answers are now within your grasp. And why should they not be? You are an entity of light and The Light is all-knowing.

Welcome back, psychonaut. You’re electronic timekeeping device has picked up a satellite and is now relaying Earth time in your geographic zone. Meanwhile, the frozen moon you left behind did the impossible and had its first full day of rotation. You must have left quite an impression.

As you resume your daily course of schedules and routines someone will eventually ask you for the time—and you may ponder a moment. It’s our time, you might say. Our time. And with a little luck, you’ll send another moon into rotation.

-Until next time

The superb Sanskrit text, The Bhagavad Gita, is an amazing guide and in my view the ultimate ‘user’s manual’ for the human adventure. This ancient text is a dialogue between two mighty warrior heroes: Krishna and Arjuna. Krishna represents the God within us all, who is always waiting patiently to guide us – if we can listen. Arjuna is the greatest warrior of the time and Krishna is his charioteer, his guide in the battle of life. He will steer Arjuna through, if Arjuna hears and understands.

The entire dialogue takes place the middle of a battlefield where Krishna and his best friend Arjuna are getting ready to fight a monumental battle between the two opposing sides of the same family. Arjuna has lost his courage and cannot accept the thought that he must kill members of his own family and friends in this terrible bloody war. He has thrown down his weapons and is sitting depressed and dejected in the bottom of his chariot as Krishna speaks.

The Sanskrit word Shanti means peace, but what is Krishna saying in the Bhagavad Gita when he uses this word Shanti? Are there not many wars going on within us all, wars raging in our own hearts and minds? These inner wars cloud our thoughts, consume our energies and make us stupid.

Krishna tells his good friend Arjuna that no man can know happiness without peace (BhG.II.66). In fact the sequence of our compulsions is quite predictable. We start thinking about a particular thing and from those thoughts we want it. If our desire for the thing is frustrated, we become angry. Once we are angry, our ability to reason and think clearly is skewed.

Delusion is born in anger!

From this anger rises delusion. We tell ourselves all kinds of absurd things. We deserve that thing and we will do anything to get it, no matter what the consequences, no matter what our actions might do to our soul. We forget that perhaps the thing is not ours to have, or that we don’t deserve it – or that it may not be the right time for us to have such a thing, it might bring us harm.

Thus from anger arises delusion, and from delusion loss of memory – what we call denial – and from loss of memory we begin to lose conscious awareness of and contact with our own spirit. Krishna calls this the ‘death of the spirit’ that leads to real death.

Uncontrolled desire leads to death. Krishna points out the wiser way. Instead of allowing our desires to devour our peace of mind, the man of wisdom develops a state of even-ness, a subtle intelligent detachment and disinterest in the objects of the senses. These objects are thrown at us 24/7 on our TV and now computer screens. We are told we can only be happy when we have this car, or that cell phone and the latest techno-gadgets. We must be thin and young – and we must endlessly consume products that will make us happy winners.

By the time we are in our 30’s most of us know that none of these things have made us happy. In fact we tire of them very quickly and must have more, more, more. Ah, the next thing we desire will finally bring us that elusive happiness we have been chasing. But it never happens.

Lasting happiness is not to be found in the external world. Temporal experiences of joy and suffering are in abundance, but real lasting peace and understanding are only found within. When Time makes us wise and weary of being fools, we turn within and begin to question everything.

The Emptiness of Compulsion

We begin to understand how our unruly desires have run us, controlled us, made us act compulsively, and left us even emptier than before. We begin to observe this process. We see how our five senses have drawn us into this delusion and we consider the idea of practicing an enlightened control.

The continued practice of observing the reactions of the senses and controlling our own thoughts in the mind will inevitably lead us to inner peace. This is ‘the peace that surpasses all understanding’ (Philippians 4:7) and this Peace is our Home, the Source of our Real Self and the entire universe.

This is the Shanti that Krishna speaks of in the Bhagavad Gita. For as Krishna says, the mind that allows the senses to carry off his or her capacity for insight – literally looking within – is as helpless as a ship caught in a storm at sea.

Krishna teaches Arjuna how to act wisely and gives him the knowledge he needs to understand his place in the universe. Krishna tells Arjuna that whoever has purified his mind in the fires of Knowledge and mastered his senses will obtain this Peace (BhG.IV.39).

The five senses make their contact with the external world and its objects, and send their information-impulses to our brain, allowing us to experience the polarities of pleasure and pain, sukha-duhkha in Sanskrit. These experiences are impermanent and are to be endured, for what is temporal has no ‘real’ existence and is unreal (Asat) in the sense that it is fluctuation and change (BhG.II.14-16). While the real (Sat) always exists, as the 14th century Sufi poet Mahmud Shabistari says, ‘beneath the curtain of each atom.’

It is not that the external world has no value as some believe. However, its state of constant change makes it the unreal (Asat) in the sense that it is impermanent. The external reality is very real to the five senses, but there is so much more to our world than what we can see, hear, touch, etc. Everywhere there is the imperishable (akshara) that permeates, supports and sustains the temporal illusory hologram.

We Are Lost in Our Delusion

Without Knowledge of this eternal, immutable, imperishable Real – we are lost, floating on a sea of delusion and ignorance that tosses us around at whim and fools us into thinking that possessions and pleasure can give us meaning.

Krishna teaches his friend that this universe is pervaded by that which is indestructible and Arjuna has no power to kill that. The body may die, but the soul (Atma) never dies. It simply transmigrates to a new body, just as we get new clothes when our old ones are worn out. (BhG.II.17-22)

When our body is worn out, we move into new forms that resonate with our thoughts, new data-collecting vehicles to expand our expression of the God within us all. The realization that you never die changes your entire attitude towards living and you have the opportunity to become less attached to the perils, failures, and successes of your current identity self.

There comes a time when in wisdom you will not care if you have been immortalized by the media. Your search for meaning will not be based on the approval or disapproval of others. You will care more about doing what is right, taking action with the greatest integrity and knowledge you have available to you in that moment, and that knowledge will always be changing as you continually reevaluate its worth.

You will ask yourself, not so much, what did I accomplish – but rather what consciousness was I in when I acted. When that time comes you will have Wisdom, you will have imperishable Peace.

Swami Lakshmanjoo (from 1978) on Liberation from Prakriti’s [the Matrix] mischief:

“If you become slave of Prakriti, you are gone. When you follow these, follow the movements of these five sense organs, i.e., five senses of cognition and five senses of action, along with the touch of these three gunas, you are just sheep, you are just carried by Prakriti. And this is that individual being who is governed by Prakriti.

“He creates this, he creates this universe. Because everybody has his own universe in his mind; you have your own world, you have your own world, you have your own world. And that world you have created by combination of these…by following your nature.

“When you command Prakriti, then you don’t create your world. Once you have not created your world, you are free, you have no rebirth. You won’t come…you won’t be entangled in repeated births and deaths.”

We have free will, a majestic gift of choice coupled with conscious awareness at a level that seems to be unique to creation. All of creation has its own vibrational attributes, but humanity has been gifted in a very special way. Whether we utilize this gift consciously or not appears to be the dilemma we’re faced with.

Yet we seek an escape from this life, a place of refuge. Ironic. Or is it a sense of knowing that something more real and wonderful exists?

There’s much talk about portals, energy vortices, jump locations and wormholes. Where we’re trying to go to is a fundamental issue. The point is, how and where do we find a place of transition to other circumstances? Is it activism? Is it our personal way of perceiving reality?

Or both?

Do we already have access to this other reality? Has escape always been the default position in this accosted world resulting in religion and sequestered lives driven by survival and an engineered sense of scarcity? Is this what has happened to the stand and fight mentality?

Does Humanity Get What It “Deserves”?

This is a huge question. Not just the karma issue, but the even deeper innate mechanics of the Universe. If Universe is perfect in every way, everything we’re experiencing is “justified”. Has humanity allowed itself, yes allowed itself, to be so degraded that its very decrepit condition invites and encourages predators?

To continue the analogy, are the parasites and viruses “going for the whole enchilada”?

Pretty serious stuff to consider, especially in the light of society being a reflection or reinforcement of anything imposed upon it. The question remains; does a dying body politic invite the very influences it eschews?

The Universe is Reflective

What we impose comes back. What we are willing to receive is another factor. But just imagine we’re abutted with a huge energetic field, ready to do our bidding. An extremely empowering notion. No matter what is living in this force field is considered fair game for such a Universal force. As an independent resource we should revel in such an idea.

Most profoundly, this “field” reflects our intentions and desires.

Now picture a human race that is enthralled with its own survival, under similarly subjected conditions. But they’re under attack. Where will they place themselves in the scheme of things? Will they realize their condition, or relinquish their autonomy for something that seems to save them?

Taking It Lying Down Is a Choice

A dead or dying organism invites parasites of all kinds. This is the current state of our world. As perverted, drugged down and immune deficient humanity glides into their brave new world of somatazation, we see the growth of the totalitarian police state.

We’re inviting it. By our acquiesced degradation.

A dead animal, or human, decays at an accelerating pace. Parasitic organisms move swiftly to devour and do away with the dead corpse. It’s natural. So the degradation of ethical and spiritual aspects of human culture. As we lay down, we accept the seemingly inevitable. A terrible vortex to find our collective selves, but we are there apparently, circling the drain.

This discourse may seem to meander, but it has its purpose.

Our Aliveness is the Key

An alive, resilient body is not a target for disease. The dead and dying are. The overall diseased “body politic”  today is  a sitting duck for control and manipulation. Ours is to keep alive and activating.

As synchronicity has it, as I was pondering these thoughts, I walked past a dead animal under a tree by the roadside. It was infested with hungry insects devouring the food. The next day all that was there was the fur. They work fast once the subject has succumbed.

Will humanity succumb? It doesn’t look good from a macro perspective. But I know individually the awakening is creating health and wellness at an enormous rate. Will it be in time?

It’s up to us.

Be alive. Be active.

You are in charge. Use your majesty of free will.

Love, Zen

“The only way to deal with an un-free world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.” –Albert Camus

The current unsustainable system has made us overly comfortable and ridiculously complacent in our ways. We have every luxury, and yet, for the most part, we live hurried, hollowed, nine-to-five lives, having given into the hyperreal overindulgence of the consumerist lifestyle. We’re beginning to realize that we’ve grown spiritually stagnant. We’re in an existential rut. We’re stuck –mind, body, and soul. We want more out of life than just materialistic trash, but we’re tied into our consumerist preconditioning. It’s how we were raised, after all. But it’s time we reconditioned the precondition.

Here are four ways to do exactly that, while also turning the tables on the powers-that-be and leveraging some autonomy into our lives.

1.) Don’t be Afraid of Being Uncomfortable

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” –Neale Donald Walsch

Yes, it’s time to get uncomfortable. Suck it up and go be that starving artist you’re afraid to be. Volunteer. Travel the world. You were not born to be a slave to money; that’s just what you were born into. You were born to explore and create like only you can. Quit stalling. Vacillation does not become you. There’s an entire world out there just waiting for you to dive right in. Comfort is only temporary anyway. Don’t allow complacency and contentedness to steal your vitality. Security is more of a hindrance to adventurous hearts anyway. Like Jack Kerouac wrote, “Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing the lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.”

So burn your couch. Toss your TV out the window. Defenestrate any and all things preventing you from being the most liberated version of yourself. True autonomy cannot be realized if you are not even aware that you’re unfree. Like Rumi said:

“Don’t listen too often to the comforting part of the self that gives you what you want. Pray instead for a tough instructor. Nothing less than the radical disassembling of what we’ve wanted and gotten, and what we still wish for, allows us to discover the value of true being that lies underneath.”

2.) Develop a Method for Determining Right From Wrong

“Time makes ancient good uncouth.” –James Russell Lowell

Before we ask what’s wrong with the world, let’s ask what’s right with it. This is a tough one. We first need to get a proper perspective. That is, a perspective based in actual reality. And “actual reality” dictates to us what is healthy and what is not. Balance is healthy. Moderation is healthy. Clean air is healthy. Clean water is healthy. If our notion of right and wrong is based upon the dictated reality of healthy (right) & unhealthy (wrong), then our perspective will be valid; but if our notion of right and wrong is based upon human opinion that happens to violate the healthy & unhealthy dictation, then our perspective will be invalid. There’s no wiggle-room here. It really is not a matter of opinion where healthy & unhealthy is concerned. So if we can somehow drag right & wrong out of the realm of human opinion and leverage it within the natural realm of healthy & unhealthy, then we’ll finally be heading in the “right” direction toward a healthy, sustainable world. Like Zeno said, “The goal of life is living in agreement with Nature.”

There comes a point at which the universe dictates to us the nature of right & wrong, good & evil, or as I prefer to call it: healthy & unhealthy. It speaks a language older than words. It’s in the body, resonating within an ancient muscle memory. You have to be still to hear it. You have to be silent to realize how loud it really is. It can be as simple as the body telling us when we’ve consumed too little water, or as complex as the cosmos pinpointing for us what is the healthy way for human beings to live in an interconnected world. In many ways we can tap into the natural order of things through common sense alone, like the feeling we get in our gut when faced with a decision between truth and deception (red pill/blue pill), or how we instinctively know that rape and pedophilia is wrong.

Wendell Berry said it best:

“We have lived our lives by the assumption that what was good for us would be good for the world. We have been wrong. We must change our lives so that it will be possible to live by the contrary assumption, that what is good for the world will be good for us. And that requires that we make the effort to know the world and learn what is good for it.”

3.) Question Authority

“When just laws are used to uphold unjust behavior, our obligation to uphold the laws is diminished.” -Clive Hamilton

We are, as Guy Debord wrote, “a society of the spectacle.” But what do we do when we finally come to realize that we are the spectacle, or worse, that we are the butt-end of a terrible joke? What are we to do when we are, as T.S. Eliot wrote, “Distracted from distraction by distraction”?

The answer is not only to question authority, but to have fun doing it. Take insurgent pictures. Write rebel poems. Speak unspoken truths to power. Scare people out of their complacency. Shake things up. Become the change you wish to see in the world. You’ll thank yourself for it later.

At the end of the day, it is our responsibility as members of a would-be proactive citizenry to rise above the distractions –be they political, corporate, or plutocratic- and question authority, despite the smoke and mirrors, all while admitting that we could be wrong. After all, transparency goes both ways. Like Derrick Jensen wrote:

“We are the governors as well as the governed. This means that all of us who care about life need to force accountability onto those who do not.”

This is how we turn the tables on oppressive power: We realize that the oppressors are damaged human beings with an unhealthy view of the world. We realize that we have the power to liberate them from their own damaged souls. Through non-violence and love we can give them the opportunity to become fully human. By giving them this opportunity we flip the tables on power. By revealing to them a healthier way and acting as an example for a healthier way, their power is reduced to what it really is: a sickness. They are no longer allowed to be overpowering oppressors. We have revealed to them their cowardice. We have freed ourselves from their tyranny. Our liberty is our love. We welcome them with open arms, so that they can be healed and learn again what it means to love. We are social creatures, first and foremost. By liberating others we liberate ourselves, and only then is true autonomy possible.

4.) Embrace Change

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives… It is the one that is most adaptable to change.” –Charles Darwin

We have a tendency to put the cart before the horse when it comes to change. It is easier for us to change our own behavior than it is to change the world, and yet we tend to focus too much upon changing the world. If we instead focused more upon changing our behavior, we would find that a natural side-effect of doing so is that we change the world. The world is going to change with or without you anyway. You might as well be a part of that change by being proactive about what it means to change in a healthy way. Like James P. Carse wrote:

“This ceaseless change does not mean discontinuity as a person; rather change is itself the very basis of our continuity as a person. It is because I cannot see what you see that I can see at all.”

But cultural change is not a black and white issue. It’s not like we completely abandon the old way of doing things, full stop, and then immediately adopt the new way. Not at all, change is gradual. History has always proceeded dialectically. Cultural change will be a mixing of the old (x) with the new (y) to create the hybrid (xy) culture. And it will probably get worse before it gets better. There will be some growing pains, especially since it will require a lot of us embracing step #1 of this article, which is all the more reason why we should adopt a health-based way of distinguishing right from wrong (#2). The powers-that-be will fight tooth-and-nail to keep the current unsustainable system churning, because it has made them rich, fat, and (pseudo)-happy, after all. But that’s all the more reason to question them to the nth degree (#3). In the end, nothing remains the same. True autonomy comes from embracing the slings and arrows of vicissitude and adapting to the ever-changing aspects of time, space, and the self.

“If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you.” –Liz Gilbert
